well unlike katy perry were her videos are like E.T and CG are 90% green screen or there is already aset. Gaga might of had the place in her video built for.

then there is clothing, makeup, funiture/objects (lol you know what i mean), dancers, animals if so! every single thing cost money!

Just because it's ridiculously, overly, stupidly expensive it doesn't mean it's going to be any good OR a particularly huge hit. Scream is the current record-holder and it's not a particularly fantastic video or well-remembered song. It could well be an example of what Michael Jackson himself became - style over substance. "Look at me, I can spend lots of money on a video now." etc.
The video cost $10 million to make apparently. OH DEAR.

The higher the cost of a Music Video the 1) Don't necessarily mean it'll get more hype, and 2) It doesn't automatically make it good. It could still be terrible.
