think I may have discovered the management team that will be marketing and releasing Diana's much awaited second album. They are called 'Icebreaker Management' where Diana performed at an event for them a few weeks back.

I don't know why this girl left RCA because independantly, she hasn't a clue how to manage her career. She's risking her fans turning on her. Last night her fans on twitter were getting very antsy, I'm sure I seen #WeWantNewsDiana trending. She constantly teases on twitter talking about studio time, top secret etc. and doesn't release any information.

 

At her recent live shows (and on twitter) she gives off the impression the second album is complete and good to go - IF that's the case, she either needs to start the release process or STFU until she's ready to do so.

 

The April 2012 release she told the press is either absolute nonsense, or the signs of a very awful promotional team that will lead to a sure flop.

I have to say, if we don't have news in the next week or so, I'll be giving up hope on this album.

Trust me, Lucie Silvas said in late 2010 that her third album will be out in early 2011. It's now early 2012 and she's only just said it's out in summer. That's the thing with independent artists, I suppose. I sure hope Diana's album will be worth the wait. I'm sure it will be, going by what we've heard already. :)

I totally get what you mean. It's hard being an independant musician, especially when you've been signed to a major label prior to that. I just think until she's ready to start releasing the material she should stop talking about it on twitter. All she's doing is leading people up the garden path. Going from the gigs, the material she's worked on sounds good. It's hardly groundbreaking material though. I've got a feeling the hype is going to ruin the album.

I agree, in the grand scale it's nothing. She just needs to shut up on twitter if she's not planning her release any time soon, cause her fans (including me) seem sick of being teased time after time. I hope little lady hasn't forgotten who got her that #1 Single/Album.

Non-existant now, hence my complaint. She released 2 free buzz tracks in December, a song snippet in January and performed two live shows in February. I'm not talking mainstream hype here, but a buzz amongst her fans. She had the perfect opportunity to launch a single and she's wasted it. She's released another damn snip today. We'll have heard the entire album via snippets and leaks before this is released.

I'm not losing interest in her, I don't think that'd be possible since I saw her live last month. she was too incredible to just forget about. :wub: saying that I do hope that a new single premieres soon. she did film a music video ages ago after all.

info@modestmanagement.com <<<< a number of us have emailed Modest management asking WTF is going on in regards to her album/record deal/lack of news....if any of you are willing to do the same, that would help as it might make things happen quicker or for diana or her management to release some sort of statement or something!! We just need anything now , its been toooo long!

I've been following twitter for the last hour or so, and it does seem that many of the Vickerites are starting to get annoyed with the lack of news! I'll drop them an email at some point - hopefully if lots of us do it, it will be too many to ignore! Because if Modest did ignore us, they could feel they may lose the interest that surrounds Diana and her new album!

 

I just hope we have something concrete and not that it will be released 'soon' or at the 'end of the year'. We need actual news that will definitely happen! Please Diana! :D

 

EDIT: Are you Thomas Friel that's been tweeting in the last hour? If it is you I see you've heard the rumour that I saw too about a 2013 release! :o
