There are labels who would beg for a Gold selling album, I think she can get signed as long as she wants to.

It was the labels own fault that the era was a flop. But yes, this sounds to me like she was dropped. Hope she get's signed by a good label(if she ever does get signed :(). TBH I think her chance is gone now, the momentum is gone. Such a waste.

I doubt she'll go without - someone will sign her. I just hope it's someone good, for her and our sakes!

I'm feeling a bit more hopeful now, thanks Liam :). Everything you said is very true.

If she goes down this indie route, i will be happy. You could tell with album 1 they were trying to commercialise her too much. Make her the next UK pop princess. Where as the music and style she presented on X Factor was different and a little bit of channeling Kate Bush.

that would be very good :D. But she would never be big, like she has the potential to be :(.

I'd love to see her go down the same route as Kate Bush, Bat For Lashes etc. musically. The whole pop thing has worked for Ellie Goulding but Diana not so much :(

Ellie could have done much better too I feel. It was the promotion I feel that is the cause, bad single choices for both.

There are rumours circulating on Twitter that Diana was always going to be leaving RCA to join Craig Logan's new Sony imprint, 247 Recordings/Logan Media Entertainment which launches later this year. Craig Logan (who was the ex-managing director of RCA) was the man who originally signed Diana and if you look at this article from last year, http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?storyCo...p;sectioncode=1 it states that Logan wanted to take Diana and The Hoosiers over from RCA when he launched his new label. Let's hope this gets officially confirmed soon!

If anyone has any further knowledge of Logan Media Entertainment (http://www.lmeworldwide.com - website not yet launched) it would be greatly appreciated!

Also, it looks like she has a plan with her music because she just tweeted that she's in the studio.

@diana_music Diana Vickers

Still looking positive in the Vickers camp!

Also, she has won an award for reaching 30,000 plays on UK radio with 'Once'. Tweet here from Nielsen Music UK:

Congratulations to @diana_music for winning a @NielsenMusicUK Award for reaching 30,000 plays on UK Radio with "Once" @RCALabelGroupUK :cheer:

I'm quite gutted for her, I knew it'd come eventually but I at least thought they'd squeeze a second album out first. Loads of artists in a worse position than her have kept their record deals.

I don't see her ever having a hit again really, at this stage radio won't touch her with a bargepole and being dropped will only be yet another nail in the coffin.

What I think they should've done is got her to just perform an album track on X-Factor, that way they wouldn't have had to waste money on a single that went nowhere and didn't even end up featuring on an album in the end. Plus the album re-entered that week, so performing a track that was actually on the album itself could've squeezed more album sales which would've been more valuable...

I love Diana's Twitter account, she is always very positive and always seems to be in the studio, so maybe things aren't as bad as they seem. Or maybe it is all an act.

Her label really did mess this up, and now it has the lasting consequence of being snubbed by the radio. If only they hadn't released TBWML....

Is it too much to ask for a 30 second clip ;)

Yes :(. I don't really trust that website's reviews, but they'll be good anyway! :D

Anything that gives us a little snippet of info to do with Diana is great :D She was in the studio again yesterday, so she must know what she's doing in regarding her leaving RCA - so that's good :)
