March 8, 201114 yr Williams 'turns down £2m X Factor deal' Robbie Williams has reportedly turned down a £2 million offer to join the X Factor. Star magazine claims that the Take That singer has asked for a bigger deal to replace Simon Cowell on the judging panel. "With Simon leaving to judge the US show, he's convinced Robbie would be the perfect successor. Rob's likeable, opinionated and funny," a source said. "But money has been a stumbling block. He wants more of an incentive to put himself out there on live TV every week." Meanwhile, Williams is to be worried about the affect the work could have on his marriage. "Ayda loves the limelight, and there are rumours she's in talks for the next series of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. But Rob prefers the idea of a quiet life," the source added. "If he had his way, he'd move to a desert island and live like a recluse. "He also wants a baby in the near future, and that's going to be tricky enough to fit in with the upcoming Take That tour as it is." Source ..Digitsl Spy
March 8, 201114 yr That's a shame. I'd have liked to have seen him on the panel. £2 million is chickenfeed to Robbie though. -_-

March 15, 201114 yr From http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/18127...-slashes-price/ ROBBIE WILLIAMS SLASHES PRICE 15th March 2011 By Steve Hughes ROBBIE Williams has slashed £1million off the price of his mansion in Britain’s UFO hotspot. Robbie Williams bought the home for £8.5million in 2009 but has not had any interested buyers for a year. Robbie, 37, splashed out on the Wiltshire pile, near to a crop circle hotspot, to increase his chances of spotting flying saucers and extraterrestrials. There were even regular meetings of fellow UFO fans in the local pub. At the time, one local said: “The word is that the reason Robbie chose this area is more about UFOs and crop circles than wanting to get back with Take That.” But having not seen any little green men the No Regrets singer put his seven-bed mansion on the market. Despite slashing the price to £7.5m, he has not received a single offer in a year and could have to cut the price further. The previous owners paid just £2m on December 15, 1997. At one stage, Robbie was said to be sleeping during the day and watching the skies for UFOs at night. He took part in a BBC Radio 4 documentary with Jon Ronson and visited a UFO convention in Nevada. He now lives mostly in LA, where he married US actress Ayda Field, 31, last August. Edited March 15, 201114 yr by Jupiter9
March 17, 201114 yr http://www.musicrooms.net/showbiz/28990-Ro...a%E2%80%99.html Robbie Williams is set to have a luxury spa fitted at his home. The 37-year old star has ordered the extravagant gift, complete with Jacuzzi, as an early wedding anniversary present for his wife Ayda Field, 31. The Take That singer has reportedly spent several thousand pounds on the lavish gift as he wants his wife to spend more time at home with him rather than going out to get treatments at a salon. "Robbie thinks he has bought Ayda the perfect present. He spent ages trying to work out what to buy her as he didn't want it to be a cliché,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. "He's a real home boy and loves nothing more than spending the day with her back at their pad. So this is perfect for them to share together." Robbie proposed to Ayda live on Australian radio in November 2009, but it was then revealed by his manager that it was "done as a joke”. A few days later Robbie also denied the engagement, writing on his blog, "Hey all. We are not engaged. Rob." However in August of last year, the pair married at Robbie’s home in Los Angeles. The pop star and his wife are known to be partial to private luxury spas. The couple requested a private spa pool on their pre-wedding honeymoon in Majorca last year and Robbie’s British home also has a sauna and indoor pool. http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/haushalt/h050.gif
March 22, 201114 yr Author http://www.nme.com/news/take-that/55597 Take That's Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have apparently wagered a four figure sum on who can lose the most weight. According to The Sun, the pair have turned to actor Christian Bale's shocking weight loss for the 2004 film The Machinist for slimming inspiration. Williams said: "Me and Gary vary in weight. We go up and down by the week. We were at my house last week when Gary turns to me and says, 'I won't be needing these clothes soon, do you want them?' – 'cos he's going on a diet'." He added: "I thought, 'Right, if you're eating a lettuce, I'm eating half a lettuce'. There is now a serious game on to see who can get the thinnest for the tour." Outlining the look he was striving for, Williams said: "You know The Machinist? I'm going for Christian Bale..." Presumably Williams is hoping to avoid the depression and chronic insomnia that Bale's character suffers in the film. He also may not fancy the diet Bale place himself on to lose the weight for the role, as the actor allegedly ate just one apple and drank one cup of coffee per day.
March 26, 201114 yr From http://home.nzcity.co.nz/news/article.aspx...m=newsmain,nrhl Robbie Williams has asked 15-time World Darts Champion Phil Taylor to coach him before he and the other members of the band stage their own tournament during their European tour. 26 March 2011 Robbie Williams is receiving secret darts lessons from Phil Taylor to help him beat his Take That bandmates. The British band are planning to host a huge tournament when they take to the road for their ‘Progress Live’ European tour in May and Robbie has enlisted the help of the 15-time World Champion in order to crush his rivals. Phil said: “We’ve had several sessions over the past few months. Anyone who knows Rob will tell you he’s very competitive and he wants to show the others he’s the best player. “He’s a smashing boy and he’s not looking a bad player at all.” Robbie doesn’t need to worry about losing his touch when he takes to the road with bandmates Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange this summer as Phil – who is nicknamed ‘The Power’ – has promised to join him on tour to polish up his skills. He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ll go and see Robbie at some stage on the tour to check on his progress. If I think he’s losing bits of his game, I’ll get him back on track. “ Robbie is not the only musician Phil has taken under his wing. Justin Hawkins’ relationship with his The Darkness bandmates became strained after he began getting private lessons from Phil and admitted darts had become more important to him than music. He said: "I've been to two tournaments now supporting Phil. Darts has now become my life. It's probably as important if not more important than the music."
March 28, 201114 yr From http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/164483/9 Robbie Williams Won’t Commit To Being ‘X Factor’ Judge Monday, 28 March 2011 Written by James Conlon Robbie Williams has turned down an offer to become a judge on the upcoming UK series of ‘The X Factor’, according to reports. The singer was offered the chance to replace Simon Cowell as judge on the hit UK singing show, but is said to have refused the offer, claiming that he could not sign on for such a lengthy commitment. The show is said to be keen to find a big-name act to fill the hole that Cowell has left after pledging his commitment to the US version of 'The X Factor'. Williams already expressed his appreciation for the primetime show after appearing with Take That in the closing stages of the 2010 season, so was a natural choice for the producers. It is claimed that Williams gave initial indications that he was interested in the job, however according to various sources, the singer has now decided against it. The Metro has quoted a friend of the singer as saying: “The thing about Robbie these days is he doesn't enjoy the attention which comes with a showbiz lifestyle. He turns down so many public appearances - stuff worth millions every year. He just doesn't need it. 'X Factor’ lasts for three months and that's too lengthy a commitment.” As of yet none of the judges from the 2010 season of the show have confirmed that they will be returning, with Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh still said to be waiting on contract offers from the show’s producers.
