Posted March 7, 201114 yr I know most people won't care, but as I am a big fan, I thought I'd post this. Joss Stone has been working on a new record, which is mainly produced by Dave Steward (who is known for being 50% of the Eurythmics) and has worked with loads of artists over the years. The record should be released on 'Stone'd Records', as Joss Stone has left EMI after they messed up the release of 'Coulour Me Free' ( UK #75 SMASH). She'll never be as big as she was (in the UK anyhow), but I think she had a good shot in Europe and the US! Edited March 7, 201114 yr by Frank!
March 8, 201114 yr I'm gonna be intrigued. Tbh she musically hasn't done anything interesting since "Mind, Body & Soul" for me.
March 8, 201114 yr Joss, how I have missed you :( I thought she was releasing a GH? That been cancelled? Anyone heard her 'Bond Theme' from the game Blood Stone? dMNYc9PonVg
March 8, 201114 yr Guess the greatest hits album will come out as she's leaving EMI. Can't wait for new material! That voice must return to the charts, and not at #75! She's amazing!
March 8, 201114 yr 'Mind Body & Soul' remains by far her best album to date and the last era in particular was very drab and uneventful in everything concerned really. I do like Joss though, so shall look forward to this anyway even if I have mixed feelings about the quality of what she'll come out with.
March 8, 201114 yr Love Joss Stone. Never liked her early stuff and began liking her around Introducing which is when her fans really turned their back on her. Introducing and Colour me free are very good albums. I hope she eventually returns to success at some point.
March 8, 201114 yr I never bought Colour Me Free, I remember putting it out at work and thinking oh a new album. I have the first three CD's, and might backtrack get CMF, and the new album. Can't beat a bit of Joss.
March 8, 201114 yr Author EMI wants to release the GH, but Joss is trying to prevent that... I love all 4 of her records, with Introducing being my fave. Lyrically and musically her best
March 9, 201114 yr The thing is, Joss isn't a greatest hits person. Her singles have never done well really. She's an album artist. People don't really refer Joss stone to a particular song.
