On its 403rd day of release - so it's sold near enough 10,000 per day since release. Not bad.

Whoops, I messed up this calculation a bit - it was actually only her 397th day of release, so she had sold OVER 10,000 per day since release.

4 million UK sales is truly amazing for the album and totallt totally unexpected before its release.

'21' back to #1 in Holland!

Also:

-Almost 500.000 copies sold.

-Record for most weeks at #1 (31 weeks in total)

-First artist to replace themself at #1

I wonder if '21' has broken any other national records for weeks at #1 - it's rapidly approaching the Australian record I believe (for artist albums anyway, I think the longest runner is a soundtrack that had something ridiculous like 77 weeks at #1).

I assume that 'first artist to replace themself at #1' is for singles not albums?

(In other news '21' has now re-peaked at #5 in Russia, completing the set of at least top 5 in all the countries in the first post :D It's also back at #2 in Spain for an eighth non-consecutive week, still hope for it to eventually reach #1 there. Back at #3 in Portugal also).

I'll check for any missing certification updates tomorrow.

It is for the albums. '21' is #1 this week while 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall' goes 1-2.

Oh, right - I forgot about the Royal Albert Hall thing counting for some album charts.

The Netherlands really love Adele, more than the UK even. I seem to remember them loving her during 19 too.

'21' has just been certified 15x platinum (i.e. 4,500,000 in digital sales + shipments) in the UK, officially making it the highest certification ever awarded! Of course there are other albums eligible for such certifications but this is the first time anything over 14x has actually been awarded :D

Yet another record to add to many many previous ones and not the end of her achievements yet by a long shot.

#1 for a thirtieth week in total in Australia, now the joint third longest running #1 album ever (behind Dire Straits on 34 weeks and The Sound Of Music soundtrack on 76). I definitely think it could get the longest #1 run for an artist album (i.e. excluding The Sound Of Music) :D

'21' 9x platinum (Holland)

Source? Wikipedia still lists it as 5x platinum.

Because Wikipedia is such a reliable source.

Because Wikipedia is such a reliable source.

The source isn't Wikipedia. It has a citation to this page which is a reliable source and it says '21' is 5x platinum. I'm not stupid enough to quote uncited things from Wikipedia.

Does anyone have a source link confirming '21' going 9x platinum in the Netherlands? I've tried to Google it and can't find anything about it. (Looks like Theo has updated it anyway though :P)

Hopefully you can read Dutch ;)

She was also responsible for 5% of the physical market last year :o

Thank you for the links :D

I have a very basic understanding of German and as far as I can tell Dutch is very similar so I can read bits of it. Sort of.
