Posted April 4, 201115 yr Speaking of girl-bands - here is one I'm looning over for the past 6 months. They're based on the indie label Kitchenware Records and have released their third album this week. Their only commercial success was 'Baby (Off The Wall)' single which got to #49 in 2004. It was from their first album, now they have released their third one, although I don't get how are they financed, I guess from gigs etc. I have listened to their new album and I need to say I'm pretty impressed! It's not like they created something truly innovative (some tunes are VERY generic) but the album is full of absolutely catchy pop gems. I still don't get how are they not popular, as IMO quality of their material is up to the standards of the top-10 material at least. Singles Stilettos B2I9nGH_yO8 Good Enough w7rE__cGlRo And here's the sampler including the snippets of all songs if you got interested: DrprzC_5N28 My fav tracks are 'Couldn't Luv' and 'Headlines'. Is here anyone who listened to it / them? How did you like it? Edited April 4, 201115 yr by Arrs
April 4, 201115 yr I liked the Wideboys mix (I think) of Club La La but that was it. Stilettos is awful, it's beyond shameless how much they've done a z-rate rip-off job of Lady Gaga's image as well. They have a very major styling problem. They all look like trannies in the Good Enough video! I liked their black and white 'street' styling in the Club La La video (very reminiscent of the video for Soldier by Destiny's Child, same director I think) but that obviously wouldn't work in 2011.
April 5, 201115 yr Author Whilst I agree about atrocity of the video for 'Stilettos' I think the song itself is pretty good! Actually I found it on some compilation, before it I didn't even know about them. I didn't like their past material, but it probably would grow on me.
