April 10, 201114 yr Suedehead2 - 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', (& its initial 13 consecutive No.1 Weeks), is only the Album Chart Record for an Artist Album, as regards a No.1 Album's first Chart Weeks. The 'Record Holder' is actually the 'My Fair Lady' Album, (Original Broadway Cast), from 1958. That went in at No.1, & stayed there for 19 Weeks. Here is the Artist Album List, anyhow:, ARTIST NUMBER 1 ALBUMS - WITH 11 - OR MORE - CONSECUTIVE WEEKS AT No.1 (TOTAL WEEKS AT NO.1 IN BRACKETS - AS IS THE YEAR OF RELEASE) This List shows the UK No.1 ARTIST Albums, which have had the most consecutive Weeks at No.1. This List excludes OST Albums, & Original Stage Cast Albums. (Except the OST Albums by Elvis Presley, & Cliff Richard & The Shadows, as they are Artist Albums).
