Oasis - The Importance Of Being Idle

My vote goes to Charlotte Church 'Crazy Chick'. Rihanna cannot go this round, it's a great song and it's a big shame it has no chance of winning :(

Oasis - The Importance Of Being Idle

If "Get Right" is a tune, "The Importance Of Being Idle" is a song. There are far worse here, even from the same genre - see "Dakota". I'm still voting for Dr Pressure.

Richard

I've gone for Don't Phunk With My Heart. Less 'memorable' than My Humps, certainly, and it's again, the weakest of a good bunch.

I hope Rihanna and, to a lesser extent, Oasis, survive this round, they're really good songs, but with Oasis, it's had a lot of narrow escapes so far, so I wouldn't be devastated if it went.

I voted for The Importance of Being Idle...AGAIN!!

It's in the lead now though, so hopefully it stays that way!

Rihanna - Pon De Replay

It looks like she's going home now. ^_^

Why all the hate for Rihanna, real shame that she's going - and this game was the last chance of a Rihanna win    We need 9 people to quickly vote for "Crazy Chick" to get one up on her - but that's never gonna happen. I like TIOBI as well, so it's sad to watch great songs like these go

Edited by danielGaGa

I remember 'Pon de Replay' and 'Push the Button' were played massively on the St.-Petersburg local dance radio station a lot which was quite rare for ththem, as they usually don't play pop/R&B. And, to say, both PDR and PTB were almost completely snubbed by other Russian radios altogether despite being very big in the rest of the world. I figured out that 'Pon de Replay' is actually Rihanna's song only a few years later. This is why I feel both these songs as a bit 'indie' despite them being ultimately pop and huge worldwide.

Well, Rihanna has got What's My Name?, Only Girl, Rude Boy and Love the Way You Lie in 2010's game, although the only one of those that will do well is Only Girl tbh. The other three will miss the top 20.

I do love Rihanna. Doing these polls, I think she's possibly put out the best music in the last half of the 00's. Pon de Replay wasn't that good though, so I don't mind it going.

Pon De Replay isn't Rihanna's best, but it's a good tune. It wasn't going to win this year, or anywhere near top 5, but should have got a bit further.

And to be honest, looking at the line-up for 2010, there's so much 'bland' RnB (not necessarily in my opinion) like In My Head, Replay, Dynamite, and enough things like Helping Haiti and Glee (two versions of the same song won't help Glee, despite the fact it's the best they've ever done) I'd be surprised if Only Girl was the only Rihanna song to make the top 20. I could feasibly see at least 2 of the other 3 making it.

Hmm. Dynamite is very liked on here, actually, but I agree with the others. In My Head and Replay in particular, are absolutely dreadful. Seriously, seriously appalling. Even I hate them!!

But there's also songs like OMG, Pass Out, Not Afraid, Don't Stop Believin', When We Collide, which will surely all go out in the first 10 rounds.

I can see Just the Way You Are (hopefully) going out very early too. Female RnB-esque ballads don't do very well on here (see: Unfaithful, Bleeding Love, Stickwitu, Take a Bow, Irreplaceable, etc.), so goodness knows how badly a male-led one will do!?! (Although I guess we had Mario this year, which gives us our answer).

Well, hopefully all Rihanna's songs will make the top 30 at least. Rude Boy will certainly go early though. I loved it at the time, but I got bored of it after about 6 months.
