Why hasn't Beyonce done a live performance of "Diva" yet? I am surprised one hasn't popped up yet. I love that song!!

Diva is terrible, it shouldn't be released anywhere.

Diva is one of the worst songs ever to hit mankind!

 

It's a cheap production and she needs to go back to school as the word "Diva" is NOT the female version of hustler.

Diva has also peaked at 73 in the UK :)

Diva came joint last place in the I Am... Sasha Fierce album survivor going on right now - if you had your way would you have proffered this US single to have lasted any longer? What do you think of Diva?

 

I must admit this has grown on me quite a bit since the survivor began :kink: It's not something I've gone back to much before honestly however I do think it's one of those songs which greatly benefits from live performances. I've seen a few videos of Diva live and I genuinely prefer it to the studio version on the album!

 

These aren't the best quality videos :lol: I think her vocals take center stage live whereas on the album the production has a lot more focus, plus the choreography for literally any of her Diva performances are incredible

This was done dirty in the survivor polls :cry: It's a fierce bop and insanely catchy!

For me it’s definitely better as a live moment. If the studio version was more like Homecoming then I’d probably have more time for it!

 

I didn’t like it in 2008/9 and I still don’t care for it now. Even though I was a BuzzJack member back then, I didn’t use here as my main forum (I only focused on the chart section!) so unfortunately all my ‘I Am... Sasha Fierce’ reactions are lost to time (I posted regularly on a forum called DenDen from 2003 until it was deleted in 2017 :( ). I know I would have been very nonplussed about it achieving single status (although not in the UK). Thankfully Halo followed by Sweet Dreams was focused on internationally, which were the perfect choices. :wub:

 

I agree with Dexton that the production is more at the forefront of the studio version and I think that’s the problem I have with Diva... I just don’t think it sounds good. There’s a really incessant high-pitched beepy element to the production that I find really unpleasant!

 

So ultimately I’m satisfied that it’s come joint last in the survivor!
