I fear not as physicals will be frontloaded orders from the website, sod's law will mean that it's #41 come Sunday.

:P

This should have been a huge hit for her. I just can't get my head around its failure.

I know they say sales are more important than peaks, but having a good peak can help increase sales

Glad to at least see it make an appearance in today's mids!

Good to see it top 40 although it prob wont stay there, last week my hope was it would re enter the top 75 this week and that it will do, i know the single has underperfomed but at least its building up sales.

Such a great pop song - easily the best thing that anyone associated with Girls Aloud has done since "Tangled Up". And probably my favourite pop song for ages and ages...

Such a pity that it looks like it's going to be "the great lost pop song of the year", unless something unexpected intervenes. The marketing (and delayed release/or rather the early on play on sale release) has been spectacularly incompetent, but...well it's also true that Girls Aloud's best (and more experimental) music also weren't their best selling releases (while the record company sometimes - above all from "Chemistry" - played rather too safe with their choice of singles) . I guess the problem is the whole reality TV show background has blinded a lot of trendier/trend-obsessed people to just how talented they can be, while their mainstream audience demands mainstream pap (which to be fair they didn't get that much of)

But it's frustrating....Nicola Roberts is just fantastic, and this is a cracking single. Maybe it'll become an underground hit and resurface at some point in the future. It certainly doesn't deserve to be forgotten as it sadly looks like, commercially at least, it may be...

Oh god, Will probably end up about #45 come Sunday then. Oh well, really hope Lucky Day and the album can have a bit of a better impact!

I'm not convinced, she seems to be getting no radio support whatsoever and minimal video play, so it'll probably be this way for anything she releases. :(

I looove 'Disco, Blisters And A Comedown'. I wasn't convinced by her at first but she's really endearing herself to me lately, I'm beginning to think she *may* properly make up for the lack of Girls Aloud.

Ya she needs alot more radio, video support etc in order to be more successful, but on saying that when girls aloud went on a break who would have thought nicola's debut single would outsell nadines?
I don't understand the lack of radio one support. She's a bit cool and quirky and presumably perfect for them.

What a shame, time to move onto next Single asap I think
its still about another 5,000 sales tho, wouldnt surprise me if she is now the 2nd best selling solo girls aloud now,
Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts’ debut solo single Beat Of My Drum has had a rollercoaster time thus far. Moving 27-64-88-145-76-50, its revival has coincided with a blitz of TV by Roberts, including appearances on T4 On The Beach, Paul O’Grady, Style The Nation and Tonight’s The Night. The track has a peak position of number 792 on the radio airplay chart but its promotional videoclip has fared better, reaching number 37 on the TV airplay chart.
50 Nicola Roberts 6,664 (32,059)
