They are classifying a one hit wonder as an artist who has had one hit in the top 40 and has never had any other top 40 singles. Tracks that have been released or charted more than once do count.

I'm completely ignoring this.

A one hit wonder is an artist has had only one hit in the complete chart Top50 (to May 1978) - Top 75 (to August 2008) and Top 100 since.

A TRUE one hit wonder is an artist that has had one NUMBER ONE hit in the complete chart (Top50 to May 1978 - Top 75 to August 2008 and Top 100 to present) and no other chart entry ever.

Most of the One Hit Wonders are from the 80s era, some of the younger members wouldn't know what crap landed in the charts at the time,

Goombay Dance Band - Seven Tears falls in that bracket.

I am very glad I missed it.

You're assuming the BBC chose the definition of a one hit wonder.

9 Windsor Davis & Don Estelle - Whispering Grass

10 Chef - Chocolate Salty Balls

The last few songs they played have been boring  They could have played Chef - that would been funny. Also annoyed that they played Joe Dolce Music Theatre after skipping Mr Oizo and The Bird Song. Great to see Yolanda & Stardust in the top 20

Anyway yay for Lou Bega

If I remember rightly Lou Bega had another minor hit, unless I missed it
I know this is

:offtopic:

but that is the most annoying radio jingle ever I think.

if your talking about the robotic voice, I agree :arrr:

anyway, Mambo No.5 :cheer:

If I remember rightly Lou Bega had another minor hit, unless I missed it

He had a number 55 hit with I Got a Girl

So far...
