June 26, 201114 yr -_416vO10tM Was it me or were Coldplay a but blow par last night & took them a while to get going, maybe it was the new songs, then again I was comparing them to U2 the night before which is really unfair as U2 are a completely different kind of band. Love the above video.... Really enjoying Glastonbury so far Edited June 26, 201114 yr by Sacramento

Love the above video.... Really enjoying Glastonbury so far Love this song  :w00t: did I mention that before? They didn't sing any little snippets of a U2 song, unless I missed it when I was putting the kettle on last night. B) I expected them to as U2 did one of theirs
June 27, 201114 yr Love this song  :w00t: did I mention that before? They didn't sing any little snippets of a U2 song, unless I missed it when I was putting the kettle on last night. June 27, 201114 yr Author From http://www.gigwise.com/news/64341/U2%27s-B...nbury-2011-Slot U2's Bono: I Wanted To Throw Up Before Glastonbury 2011 Slot He reveals... June 27, 2011 by Jason Gregory U2's Bono: I Wanted To Throw Up Before Glastonbury 2011 Slot Glastonbury Festival Tickets U2 frontman Bono has admitted he felt “sick with nerves” before the Irish band headlined last weekend's Glastonbury festival in Somerset. The group topped the bill on the Friday night (June 24) on the Pyramid Stage. Speaking to the BBC, Bono said: "I wanted to throw up. Whenever you see me giving up a lot of attitude that means I'm terrified. “I felt like I was going to retch at the side of the stage." U2's career-spanning performance went ahead despite an attempted protest by a campaign group against the group's alleged tax dodge.
June 28, 201114 yr Awww poor Bono  Never imagined him to be so nervous about going on stage especially with all the touring U2 do. Glastonbury was one huge crowd though.
June 28, 201114 yr That's just Bono being all :drama: ...I saw an ad for their 18 singles cd issued last year on tv last night so their is methiid in his madness...I think he reads too many articles about Robbie who is also 'terrified  http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...-at-Glasto.html Edited June 28, 201114 yr by Sacramento
July 4, 201114 yr Glastonbury - A Tale Of Two Polls ua_77IcIqtI Well looky here. NME is running a readers' poll to find out Who Stole The Show At Glastonbury and the results, so far, are a kick in the face for some of the bigger acts. With over 500,000 votes cast (guess most of 'em watched on the BBC), Manchester drama queens Hurts (pictured), who performed on the small John Peel Stage, came out top with an average score of 8.11. Noel Gallagher, who bitched and moaned when Jay-Z headlined that Glastonbury should be a ROCK festival, will have a withering comment about that. U2's headline set on the huge Pyramid Stage came second with a score of 7.47, edging out The Wombats (The Other Stage) with 6.81 and then Coldplay (Pyramid Stage) with 6.77. Despite grabbing all the headlines, Beyoncé is currently languishing at 6th, having been pipped to 5th by Two Door Cinema Club. http://www.myspace.com/twodoorcinemaclub Elsewhere, Radiohead's "secret" set lies at 12th, just behind Mumford & Sons, while Friendly Fires just scrape in ahead of Primal Scream at 19th place. As the baffled scratching of celebrity hair plugs commences, fingers are pointed and tour managers fired, what have we learned? a) A huge light show isn't always enough to win hearts and minds. B) At a festival mired in mud, playing undercover can be a winning move. c) NME readers would rather wait for Destiny's Child to reform. d) Annie Lennox's bad back have a lot to answer for. Before we all get too carried away with this disturbing poll (someone please explain why I'm immune to Hurts), NME isn't the only poll in town. Digital Spy published their own Top 20 of Glastonbury 2011 list on Friday, allowing the publicists of Jessie J, Pendulum and Rastamouse to breathe a sigh of relief. While Hurts don't even place on the DS list, Radiohead manage to inch up to 11th, and Beyoncé claws her way back to 1st. The envelope please... Digital Spy poll: Beyoncé - 43.6% of the vote Coldplay - 16.7% U2 - 1.2% Other - 5.1% Jessie J - 4.0% Janelle Monae - 3.5% Elbow - 3.2% Pulp - 2.9% Queens of the Stone Age - 2.1% Pendulum - 1.4% Radiohead - 1.2% Rastamouse - 1.2% The Chemical Brothers - 1.2% Friendly Fires - 1.0% Primal Scream - 0.7% Laura Marling - 0.5% The Streets - 0.5% NME poll (at time of going to press): 1.
