No actually, it's behind Grenade and Firework^ lol.

On the UWC points system. A lot of points come from airplay. I'm fairly sure it has sold more than any other song so far this year.

Most people still regard it as the World's Single Chart though.

I know, but the point is, it isn't a chart of singles sales. Born This Way is the best-selling song of 2011 so far.

What were the first week sales for

Adele-21

TakeThat-Progress?

Adele ~208k

TT ~520k

Is there official source for it though?^

No, but there are several sales trackers who are very reliable at predicting sales and, while this obviously isn't completely accurate, it's the closest we have to official sales figures.

150-200k, she has a big fanbase, but tbh I think the early leak and the promo singles could affect sales. |Then again they could bring new people in, so what do I know

I'm surprised at how low some people's predictions are. I'm predicting 250k.

Well, I'm off to buy the album now.. Excite.

It will eclipse Adele's first week sales. I'm thinking around 300,000

I'd love it to top 200k and beat Adele, except then you'd get everyone pointing out that Adele managed 250k a few weeks after her debut

THE ABOVE will have a positive effect on her album sales in the USA.

Not sure what it is in the UK.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is taking a $6-7 loss on each album sold.

Such steep discounts are a cornerstone of Amazon's strategy to gain traction in a market in which iTunes remains the dominant player.

But when Amazon promotes a high-profile album as its daily deal, it typically pays the full wholesale price for the album—generally $7 to $8—and eats the loss, according to people familiar with the matter.

1. I doubt it.

2. It'll never be #1 for 16 weeks and reach sales of 3,000,000 (Which 21 will easily do by end of year).

:)

But it will be huge, its Lady Gaga, ofcourse it will be!

I'd say 175,000 first week, and quite good sales for the weeks after, probably be #1 for a while i'd say.

Reports from the US are saying that the album had sold out in stores across the country as early as 7am.

I hope she flops so her obsessive loons shut the f*** up :kink:

It'll be nice to have a decent battle for #1 this week, GooGoo vs. Adele.

It's not even a battle as Gaga has #1 secured.

But it would be interesting if 21 was released on the same week as Born This Way.

@atemyheart__: HMV stores across the UK have ran out of Born This Way copies, after just 6 hours of being on sale.

OMG the sales must be huge. :w00t:

When I went, a ton of them were gone so thank goodness I bought early :o

HUGE sales then i'm raising my prediction to 200k first week!
