@Darren-5-08 Where do you get these reports of her CDs selling out in the US and in HMV in the UK? I can't find them anywhere...
They might have just put a few copies out in HMV though :kink:
They had a few in Croydon HMV tonight-it's probably selling out due to the one day only £7.99 price. I'm after the deluxe version, which i have ordered online as i refuse to pay £16.99 in HMV
They were also selling Gaga Born This Way vests and T-shirts with the bundle and had a section dedicated to her in my HMV store :D

I know someone who is a manager in Walmart and they said some of the stores in the chain had sold out as early as 7am.

Oh goodness me, I still think then 700k is too less in the US first week tbh. I want 1 million+ :P
Loads of people at my school went down Tesco to get their copies this morning  I can wait tbh.

So many on Twitter are complaining of how it's sold out in a lot of UK stores and some in the US lol.

Thank goodness I got mine early :D

Call me cynical but is all this 'selling out' stuff just another marketing ploy to create even more hype & frenzy around the album?

Why don't record stores order enough copies to see them through a few weeks? they know they're going to sell them.

But I imagine most of them do. There will be some at which shortages will be, ahem, 'arranged' so that they can claim that they

are 'sold out' which feeds into the marketing frenzy.

Well they shipped 2million copies around the US which is enough to last for a while. Not sure about UK, but if some places are selling out in the US then its not the fault of the record company which have shipped tonnes out

Fair enough for the US but unless the album shifts ridiculous quantities in the UK like 4-500k in the first week then I suspect that any 'selling out' claims are merely a marketing ploy. I will reserve judgement when I know the first week sales figures.

GAGA BRINGS DOWN AMAZON: Amazon.com’s site has been snowed under with orders for their excusive, one-day 99-cent sale on Lady Gaga’s new Interscope album, Born This Way, which came out today. All their servers are down at the moment, but company officials promise everyone who ordered a digital copy will get one. More to come. (5/23p)
