Posted May 4, 201114 yr http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51EJWGN0ZWL._SL500_.jpg  I've been listening to No Doubt quite a bit recently (this new album is taking BLOODY AGES) and I'd forgotten just how good 'Return of Saturn' is. Definitely their best album, no? 01 'Ex-Girlfriend 02 'Simple Kind of Life 03 'Bathwater 04 'Six Feet Under' 05 'Magic's in the Makeup' 06 'Artificial Sweetener' 07 'Marry Me' 08 'New' 09 'Too Late' 10 'Comforting Lie' 11 'Suspension Without Suspense' 12 'Staring Problem' 13 'Home Now' 14 'Dark Blue' 15 'Big Distraction' So many brilliant songs on there. Highlights for me would be 'Bathwater', 'New', 'Big Distraction' and my favourite 'Dark Blue'. The only one I'm not so keen on is 'Staring Problem' (mainly because I really don't like songs that spell out words in them for some reason. Ha!) So yes...do you agree it's their best album? Favourite tracks etc?
May 4, 201114 yr No Doubt never ever did an album that was amazing for me. But Return of the saturn is a solid album and very underated I always found Tragic Kingdom incredibly overated. Bathwater has been of one my fav old songs within the past 3 weeks as i delved back into their greatest hits. Edited May 4, 201114 yr by David John
May 4, 201114 yr Not a patch on Rock Steady! I've not played ROS for years and years but I never used to like it beyond the singles. I found it largely tuneless. I'll reinvestigate one day though, I'm sure.
May 4, 201114 yr FLAWLESS ALBUM. Easily one of their best! Can't decide between it and 'Tragic Kingdom'.
May 5, 201114 yr Author Not a patch on Rock Steady! I've not played ROS for years and years but I never used to like it beyond the singles. I found it largely tuneless. I'll reinvestigate one day though, I'm sure. No way! I think it's far stronger than 'Rock Steady' personally. Despite 'Rock Steady' having amazing singles (three of them would be in my top 10 ND songs) I always thought it wasn't that strong overall. It does have some amazing non-singles too (most notably 'Don't Let Me Down' and 'Making Out') but 'Return of Saturn' is by far the stronger album imo!
May 5, 201114 yr Definitely my favourite album of theirs. 'Dark Blue', 'Simple Kind of Life' and 'Magic's in the Makeup'. I'd rather they went down the 'Rock Steady' route with the new album though (which I think they will).
January 26, 201411 yr Came across 'Simple Kind of Life' yesterday and can't get it out of my head. Such a beautiful track. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8u2orGTvl1qd4d7jo1_500.gif :snif: aw...
January 26, 201411 yr This is the best No Doubt album, hands down. New and Bathwater are my favourite ND singles and Home Now is easily my favourite album track.
