May 7, 201114 yr OH WAIT, i didn't think we'd get results this fast. So Botanikka and Numayania did a Moniker! That's right, not a Varga since Zechonia's entry was pretty much the best of the whole bunch
May 7, 201114 yr Excellent, the two I'd have chosen actually progressed! :D So Soko was not your thing
May 7, 201114 yr (Half-expected) SCHLAGERFIASKOT Oh well, I can live with the role of nu SHIRL quite comfortably. I'm nu KALLE MORAEUS then :nocheer:
May 7, 201114 yr Author Excellent, the two I'd have chosen actually progressed! :D You liked Bangkok City? :o Didn't have it down as your thing AT ALL. Wow :o Botanikka's entry was easily my least favourite of those four, and through to the final despite a deduction too :o still a decent song though. And FSR Rontvia/Kopecka wind up as the clear losers in Andra Chansen - so anybody who thinks we do well on name alone can think again :D I didn't like it much either, plus The Good Natures are turning into proper indie-BJSC whores. It's funny how the jury worked out to be a more indie/serious vote than the participants. Sorry about that :snif: Then again if anyone thinks Numayania do well on name alone they're probably right :kink: The only total flop I ever had was in XXI which was a mixture of host's curse and un-poppy song (by my standards)

That's right, not a Varga since Zechonia's entry was pretty much the best of the whole bunch  I actually really liked Zechonia. You can reveal your scores for anyone except Numayania and Botanikka if you want btw. Anyhoo, what I meant by "clear winner" was that the first time I calculated it (wrongly) there were draws all over the place and it was a total mess - at least I got it sorted :)
May 7, 201114 yr So Soko was not your thing  It was okay actually, definitely better than the pop by numbers efforts. I would have given it points but I didn't vote, I thought all of the non-participants votes were being combined to only have one weighting between them so I didn't bother - however it looks as though that wasn't the case.

Not that it would have helped The Corrs if the pop voters had turned up (I don't think it had much of a potential fanbase here tbh ) but it certainly would have helped Ashley/Same Difference. The last two hosts have finished 1st again and 2nd respectively so I think that one's been long put to bed :P Although, Fibes Oh Fibes/Kim was actually one of my favourite entries of yours - so underrated :(
May 7, 201114 yr You liked Bangkok City? :o Didn't have it down as your thing AT ALL. Liked is probably too strong a word but it did make me laugh. :D

I just wondered, as some members are thinking my tracks have become boring. Time for me to up my tempo. Yes Pavel its you I'm looking at -_-

There was a point in time early on that the indie voters had The Corrs above Orange Caramel but that changed towards the end. Yeah, but as I said it was XXI ie AGES ago  Actually I really like it too, but I should have sent this, which was priobably going on my CD swap list but maybe not now: 0ahtcv-xF20

They were, kind of, it was the equivalent weight of the participants votes...
May 7, 201114 yr And FSR Rontvia/Kopecka wind up as the clear losers in Andra Chansen - so anybody who thinks we do well on name alone can think again :D Am I allowed to say who I gave my 3 points to in your duel? :D Having read further posts it appears I can. I gave The Corrs 3 points - never heard it before but liked it nonetheless.
May 7, 201114 yr Numayania received 16 points from the participants. FSR Rontvia received 9 points from the participants. Numayania received 16 points from the jury. FSR Rontvia received 0 points from the jury. Total scores: Numayania: 32 points. FSR Rontvia: 9 points. Non-participants are the "jury", right? I thought I gave The Corrs 3pts? :/ I'm so confused. :(

Non-participants are the "jury", right? I thought I gave The Corrs 3pts? :/ I'm so confused. :( Glad you both appreciated it :D It was from the Forgiven Not Forgotten album, wonderful song (imo) I'm guessing that all of the points from everyone in the 'jury' were combined, and then umbrella scores of 24, 16, 8 and 0 were given out. So if The Corrs had got 10 points combined, but the others had got 12, 14 and 20 for example, the Corrs were still in last and therefore got the overall zero score. Of course, doing it that way made it look like Same Difference and The Corrs were both wildly unpopular in comparison to everything else but that's ok, before this year it was always like that in MF too - you could end up with 0 points in the final even with 75,000 televotes! But they bought in proportional weighted voting this year, so nobody should get zero again from now on.
May 7, 201114 yr LOL I was dead sure I will not go to the final after I missed deadline :heehee: Thanks to participants and jury
May 7, 201114 yr Author Sorry Martin but I had to delete your post, you can't say what you gave Numayania and Botanikka especially as (hopefully) you will be voting in the final! Glad you both appreciated it :D It was from the Forgiven Not Forgotten album, wonderful song (imo) I'm guessing that all of the points from everyone in the 'jury' were combined, and then umbrella scores of 24, 16, 8 and 0 were given out. That happened to poor Linda Bengtzing this year :snif: Tbh it wasn't a great idea, but Peter was mad keen on it
May 7, 201114 yr Ah ok! I didn't know you were using a proportional points system. I assumed the points shown were the exact points given. :D [/blondemoment] Edited May 7, 201114 yr by Cal
