May 10, 201114 yr I predict the following qualifiers this evening; Azerbaijan Russia Hungary Finland Greece Turkey Norway Iceland Serbia Albania The top eight I think are dead certs and then any two out of Serbia, Armenia, Albania, Georgia and perhaps Switzerland could make it, but I'll go with Serbia and Albania! I really really want Armenia to miss out - do they have much diaspora here?

I really really want Armenia to miss out - do they have much diaspora here? Not as much as normal (no Netherlands and Belgium), but they do have a memorable show and Georgia and Russia - Turkey often give them high points as well along with Greece. On another topic, I might GENUINELY enter gay death (and not the GOOD KIND) if R WOLF fails to make it.
May 10, 201114 yr Not as much as normal (no Netherlands and Belgium), but they do have a memorable show and Georgia and Russia - Turkey often give them high points as well along with Greece. On another topic, I might GENUINELY enter gay death (and not the GOOD KIND) if R WOLF fails to make it. I'm a bit worried that they appear to have made an effort with the performance, although her vocals were apparently WOEFUL in the rehearsal last night. It would be the biggest upset for a long time if the absolute fan favourite failed to progress, but I can't see that the juries would allow it to happen, let alone the gays and fanboys that make up 99% of the semi final audience. I reckon 3rd-5th for it in this semi, 8th-12th for it in the final!
May 10, 201114 yr Could What about My Dreams be this year's Je t'adore? Hopefully not. Finland might scrape it to the final but has no chance there.
May 10, 201114 yr I'm going to put my neck out and predict: 01 / Poland - Magdalena Tul - "Jestem" 02 / Norway - Stella Mwangi - "Haba Haba" 03 / Albania - Aurela Gaçe - "Feel The Passion" (It's my favourite song, so I need to put my faith in it :P) 04 / Armenia - Emmy - "Boom Boom" 05 / Turkey - Yüksek Sadakat - "Live It Up" 06 / Serbia - Nina - "Čaroban" 07 / Russia - Alexey Vorobyov - "Get You" 08 / Switzerland - Anna Rossinelli - "In Love For a While" 09 / Georgia - Eldrine - "One More Day" 10 / Finland - Paradise Oskar - "Da Da Dam" 11 / Malta - Glen Vella - "One Life" 12 / San Marino - Senit - Stand By 13 / Croatia - Daria - Celebrate 14 / Iceland - Sigurjón's Friends - "Coming Home" 15 / Hungary - Kati Wolf - "What About My Dreams" 16 / Portugal - Homens da Luta - "A luta é alegria" 17 / Lithuania - Evelina Sašenko - "C'est ma vie" 18 / Azerbaijan - Ell & Nikki - "Running Scared" 19 / Greece - Loukas Giorkas feat. Stereo Mike - "Watch My Dance" I don't think Finland will have anywhere near the same appeal that Belgium had last year, so it may struggle a bit. (Although it might slip through) Portugal, San Marino and Malta have no hope at all. Greece I think will come 11th-12th. Whatever happens I can see one of Greece or Armenia not making it.
May 10, 201114 yr Another Aurela fan :w00t: And Albania always give us points, so I'm up for it :kink: 01 / Poland - Magdalena Tul - "Jestem" 02 / Norway - Stella Mwangi - "Haba Haba" 03 / Albania - Aurela Gaçe - "Feel The Passion" 04 / Armenia - Emmy - "Boom Boom" 05 / Turkey - Yüksek Sadakat - "Live It Up" 06 / Serbia - Nina - "Čaroban" 07 / Russia - Alexey Vorobyov - "Get You" 08 / Switzerland - Anna Rossinelli - "In Love For a While" 09 / Georgia - Eldrine - "One More Day" 10 / Finland - Paradise Oskar - "Da Da Dam" 11 / Malta - Glen Vella - "One Life" 12 / San Marino - Senit - Stand By 13 / Croatia - Daria - Celebrate 14 / Iceland - Sigurjón's Friends - "Coming Home" 15 / Hungary - Kati Wolf - "What About My Dreams" 16 / Portugal - Homens da Luta - "A luta é alegria" 17 / Lithuania - Evelina Sašenko - "C'est ma vie" 18 / Azerbaijan - Ell & Nikki - "Running Scared" 19 / Greece - Loukas Giorkas feat. Stereo Mike - "Watch My Dance" I'd love to see Croatia, San Marino, Lithuania and Portugal in the final but it aint happening. Finland and Iceland are borderline, it's really one or the other though. And Greece, Azerbaijan and Turkey are going through come what may (:cheer: for the latter two).
May 10, 201114 yr So you don't believe in Poland? Many people seem to like it. Performing first can be tough for that kind of song though.
May 10, 201114 yr I think: Norway Hungary Albania Armenia Turkey Greece Russia Azerbaijan Georgia Finland will qualify, which to be honest would be a terrible set of qualifiers for the most part. Semi 1 is largely crap anyway so there's always going to be more I dislike than like going through. Edited May 10, 201114 yr by Johnkm
May 10, 201114 yr I like Poland but it has some tough competition.....performing first may or may not be a good thing. I'm crossing my fingers for Aurela and Albania. Hopefully they'll manage to get through, I think they have a good shot at it. Edited May 10, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
May 10, 201114 yr I want to watch the eurovision on the big tv in the sitting room tonight, but my Dad is an absolute tyrant when it comes to the big tv in the sitting room. He literally has a hold of it for every night of the year and he kicks up a fuss when I ask him if we (me and my mum) can have it to watch eurovision for three bloody nights. Of course my mum wants to watch it on the tiny tv in the kitchen now for the sake of peace, my mum needs to grow a pair of balls. :manson:
May 10, 201114 yr Would she still be your mum tho? :kink: Agree with you on Poland. I like it, but they are rarely lucky and while it feels like a show opener, it doesn't feel like a success IMHO :(
May 10, 201114 yr I love the Polish song, but I think being on first is going to work against it big time.
May 10, 201114 yr Really looking forward to tonight despite preferring Semi Final 2 in terms of overall quality. Like last year though, my top 2 are in the first semi. Hopefully both will qualify this time unlike last year (Poor Kuunkuiskaajat  ) The results will be very tense tonight I'm sure. Here's how I'd like the results to go, with what I think will qualify in bold: 15 / Hungary - Kati Wolf - "What About My Dreams" 02 / Norway - Stella Mwangi - "Haba Haba" 13 / Croatia - Daria - "Celebrate" 18 / Azerbaijan - Ell & Nikki - "Running Scared" 10 / Finland - Paradise Oskar - "Da Da Dam" 09 / Georgia - Eldrine - "One More Day" 08 / Switzerland - Anna Rossinelli - "In Love For a While" 04 / Armenia - Emmy - "Boom Boom" 01 / Poland - Magdalena Tul - "Jestem" 12 / San Marino - Senit - "Stand By" --- 14 / Iceland - Sjónni's Friends - "Coming Home" 07 / Russia - Alexey Vorobyov - "Get You" 03 / Albania - Aurela Gaçe - "Feel The Passion" 11 / Malta - Glen Vella - "One Life" 17 / Lithuania - Evelina Sašenko - "C'est ma vie" 19 / Greece - Loukas Giorkas feat. Stereo Mike - "Watch My Dance" 16 / Portugal - Homens da Luta - "A luta é alegria" 05 / Turkey - Yüksek Sadakat - "Live It Up" 06 / Serbia - Nina - "Čaroban" I would love for my three favourites to qualify tonight, but I'm pretty certain Croatia won't. After that, I'm not particularly fussed who makes it as long as that tedious Serbian song fails.
May 10, 201114 yr It's my feelgood song of the year :o Well, that and Norway. It better go through tonight or else.
May 10, 201114 yr It's a travesty that Croatia have been overlooked. I'm thinking it'll get a similar result to Deep Zone a couple of years back. I'd love it to qualify though, and it definitely has an outside chance!
May 10, 201114 yr I agree, don't know what people don't like about it. Deep Zone was  though, I can see this doing a Moldova 2010 (with no Epic Sax Guy).
May 10, 201114 yr I really like the Croatian song, it's in my top 15 of the year, but I would be very surprised if it manages to qualify.
