If it's not too complicated, I'm new to this US radio airplay business - so what do the numbers actually mean? From what I gather she's off to a great start as IWG hasn't been sent to radios yet?

Thanks :) So how much of the hot 100 is based on the airplay chart and how much on the sales chart? :)

It's something like a 50/45/5 split (airplay/sales/streaming) but it's easier to think of it like this:

 

10m airplay impressions = 10 points

10,000 downloads = 10 points

 

So a song with 100k downloads and 40m impressions would have 140 points and would beat out a song with 80k downloads and 50m impressions (130 points). Working out the streaming points is a bit of a thankless task really because they only take Yahoo and VEVO into account I think.

This is my favourite song from the Femme Fatale era so far! Hope it can go top 40.

 

Also, I heard this getting played somewhere. I can't remember exactly where but it may have been in a shop... E.g. Spar or Co-op radio...

Third single and just under 3.5 million audience impressions before the official radio release! That's huge!

If we keep getting atleast 90-100 spin gains a day, we can be about #36 on pop radio by the time the video premieres.
