On May 22nd 1991, True Or Dare got it's British premiere can you believe it's been 20 years!.

 

True Or Dare was also known as In Bed With Madonna for outside north america (a title Madonna said she hated in 2005.) The film had a budget of $4.5m and grossed over $29m worldwide.

Madonna hired director Alek Keshishian, to film backstage and onstage footage of her Blond Ambition World Tour (April - August 1990). The entire documentary is filmed in Black-and-white, except for on stage performances which are in full colour.

I love this film it has SO many funny quotes and things that happen.

From nearly being arrested during Like A Virgin, Giving head to a bottle, awesome performances of Oh Father, Keep It Together, her attitude etc. I watch this film quite a lot still.

It's a great film, around the time of Confessions I used to watch it almost non-stop. The BA performances are incredible in all their full colour glory and it's really fascinating to see a pop music legend at her peak (even if a lot of the behind the scenes footage is over-dramatized for the cameras). Much better than the bore that was I'm Going To Tell You A Secret.....
