Great chart! I really like your BJSC entry too! What does 'CR' stand for btw?

Thanks Klumzee, I thought you'd be the most likely to like it seeing as you seem to be a dance fan  I like your entry too, I thought I'd heard it somewhere before and realise that I have it on Clubland 17 :D CR stands for chart run, although I guess it's a bit redundant as people know what it means anyway

Thanks Ghosty!

5. Hope it grows on you, it had a relatively slow start on my chart so it's certainly a grower - so probably a risky BJSC entry (as if being a foreign male dance song wasn't risky enough already!) but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it qualifies

6. I think it's fantastic! There are a few average songs, so don't listen to the loons rating every single track as a 10 because that just isn't the case, but there are a couple of songs that are better than the singles at least.

11. Nope, sadly, because AATW don't have the licence to that song :( It's a real glaring omission, it was a big #2 hit in my chart!

21. It's good but there are only 3 or 4 songs that really standout to me. This is one of them, it has a really nice melody.

22. Agreed, this should climb quite high in my chart, it's second to Kom for me, better than anything else of there's that I've heard :D

35. That's a shame :( Perhaps it'll grow on you. It should go top ten for me I suppose but I don't see it topping my chart - they've had one #1 for me in Higher and quite a few #2's

46. Well, it's a studio version of the live version you must have heard  Is there anyway not to be 'try-hard' when you're covering Gaga?

55. I did too initially but it's grown on me like a rash :drama: Stefan's definitely not a favourite singer of mine though...far from it!

05 - Just given it another listen. It is improving and should feature amongst my points. It's a definite qualifer though imo.

06 - Sounds good! I wonder if I'll like the same tracks as you? :heehee:

11 - Oh yeah, it came out on single at the same time as AATW released another song iirc? That is an absolute shame :( . Did the UK version of the Everytime We Touch album have the song on it then?

22 - I still prefer Högt Över Ängarna and Vild, but I think Het will probably overtake Vild in the end.

35 - Hopefully it will! Their first two singles and Missing You went number one on my chart, other than that, it's a bit of a mixed bag in terms of chart success

5. Glad it's growing on you :D It's #1 in Sweden I've noticed and that's a good enough accreditation for me  I find it really catchy actually, even though I don't know what any of the words mean!

6. Probably not  I hope you like Scheiße though, it really is genius!

11. Wasn't it around the same time as A Neverending Dream (which I never thought was that great). It was on a Ministry of Sound label I think...yep, the UK version of the album DID have it on, which makes things all the more bizarre - perhaps they're not expecting this album to be that succesful so didn't care enough to pay for the licensing again. The Everytime We Touch album was massive here, I'm sure it sold about 500k and was in the top ten for ages :o

22. All are great, I'd say that I'd like to see them in MF again, but they have a very distinct 'sound' that they never seem to tread away from, and I'm not sure that people would vote for them all over again with the same thing.

35. That really is a mixed bag :lol: This is mine (singles only);

A bit mixed but Notorious will definitely peak higher. Work probably peaked a bit low but I've never been a massive fan of Forever Is Over...Missing You is vastly underrated I think, a lot of people seem to call it their worst single!

46. I haven't heard many Gaga covers, nor go out of my way to look for them, but I really do like her cover of Bad Romance, it shouldn't work as a jazz song but it somehow does!

05 - It is! I'm quite surprised he's singing this sort of song considering his age. Good for him though! . I wonder if he'll be in Melodifestivalen next year?

06 - I think I might have heard a snippet of Scheiße before, it sounded great so I hope that's what track it was  .

11 - It was either Never Ending Dream or Truly Madly Deeply. I actually really liked Never Ending Dream  . I'll never understand the whole licencing thing, but surely the other label would have more of an advantage by allowing that song to be put on the Best Of, they aren't going to make any more money from Miracle now.

22 - This is true. I could see them entering again, but they wouldn't come anywhere near winning now. They'll probably have a similar hit rate to Alcazar :(

35 - Missing You is very nice, but I do regret putting it at number one now. ForI quite like Forever Is Over, but can see why some may not.

46 - I've heard a couple, and none of them have been that great apart from Caro's.

5. I think he's only 40, but he looks a hell of a lot older  I thought he was in his 60s when I first saw the video! Isn't he one half of The Attic? So he has been in MF before, and aren't they also responsible for the MF theme tune!?! I wouldn't be surprised to see them enter again, or him solo - not that dance does particularly well in the competiton.

6. A remix of it surfaced a few months ago but I never listened to it at the time. Was very impressed with it on first listen last week though and it just gets better!

11. I don't expect MoS were even asked about it, AATW probably didn't want them involved at all. I doubt the album will sell that many more copies with the addition of that song, and this way they can keep all of the profits for themselves!

22. Agreed, which would be sad to see so perhaps they're best off out of it. Kom was now or never for them, although I was gutted that it only finished 5th :( It certainly should have beaten that Darin song, and I never thought that much of Manboy either.

35. I haven't regretted any of my #1's since 2007 when I had a weak run of chart toppers in Missy Higgins' Peachy and Gwen Stefani's 4 In The Morning - I like both a lot but neither were anywhere approaching either artist's best work...I suppose the closest I've come to regretting a #1 is Nadine's Insatiable last year but it at least finished in my EOY top 40.

05 - The Dino Merlin of Sweden! :heehee: Is he? I had no idea  . In that case, it's very likely he'll be there next year. I think Male fronted dance will do well, the Swedes just don't seem to like the generic female dance acts for some reason.

06 - I think it must have been the one, there was certainly a lot of German involved in the lyrics anyway!

11 - That's very true. I'm just unhappy about it as it's my third favourite song of theirs :(

22 - It should have won! That Darin song was pretty dire looking back. Manboy was never one of my absolute favourites either.

35 - I've had so many over the years - too many to list in fact  . The most memorable for me is Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Jolene which spent just 4 weeks on my chart

5. Clearly! Yep, he definitely is, I've just googled it to be sure! I'd definitely like to see him there next year with a similar anthemic dance song :D MF should be amazing next year as a reaction to Popular doing so well! Frederik Kempe will probably have written half of the final 32 songs though

6. Yep, definitely that one!

11. And mine too, after Evacuate The Dancefloor and Everytime We Touch. Definitely a glaring omission from the tracklist.

22. I'd have loved either that or Keep On Walking (as you know, I was a huge fan!), I don't get why Sweden had SUCH a love obsession over This Is My Life, as pleasant as it was, it was hardly anything extraordinary for a ballad and I'm surprised it was so dominant in the contest. I'm glad Manboy didn't win, and that we got Popular instead this year, I don't think In The Club would have made that great an entry to be honest, thinking about it...and had The Moniker gone to Eurovision, Sweden would have been outside my top ten rankings for the first time in years!

35. I remember that being a #1 for you and thinking 'how bizarre!' How many #1's a year do you have on average, my chart's been averaging about 20 per year in the last few. Do you have a quicker turnover at the top, hence the non #1's?

TEOG is a nice return for LG. Even though she hasn't done well on my chart lately, she has had 8 Top 10 songs for me. I haven't listened to the album fully, but I think my fav track thus far is Marry The Night.

What a chart run for Blue! I Can must be at the top of your favs of 2011.

Great chart as always!

05 - I wouldn't mind that though, there have been very few songs of his I've disliked! His songs are the essence of MF imo.

11 - It's mine after Everytime We Touch and Why You Had To Leave, although it was obvious the latter wouldn't feature on it. It should definitely have been a single though!

22 - It was bizarre! I loved the song, but there were plenty of better choices to send. I think In The Club might have done alright, but probably wouldn't have gone any higher than third. The Moniker may have failed to qualify.

35 - The average for me is 34 a year, which is pretty huge and probably explains why there have been so many bizarre choices  . This year looks like it might be even higher than the average as I haven't had the usual 10 week run at the top for a Eurovision favourite. That said, Kati may well rebound yet.

5. I agree with you there. I know a lot of people resented him because his songs had always flopped at Eurovision before, but they can't really use that argument anymore

11. Why You Had To Leave definitely wasn't a favourite of mine! They've had some very underwhelming singles in Dangerous, What Do You Want From Me and A Neverending Dream and I'm not sure what the point of releasing Because The Night was either when Jan Wayne did the same version of it a few years earlier, to greater success  My favourite non singles would be Bad Boy, How Do You Do, Runaway, Perfect Day, Hold On and Breathless and at least half of those were massive missed opportunities singles wise, it seems they're only any good at picking lead singles

22. Same here but it certainly wasn't THE standout song and I fail to see why the whole of Sweden were looning over it when they had Kom, Manboy (it would have made a better entry) and Keep On Walking under their noses! Agreed I guess, I think Danny would have made the top ten in the final but not done as well as Eric, The Moniker might have got through on the jury but I reckon they'd be down with the likes of Romania in the final.

35. Wow :o You must get bored quickly! I often have a few songs that have 5 week+ runs at the top each year, although this year I've only had Blue's I Can so far and then a few 3 weekers. Satellite got 9 weeks last year but it was over 3 separate runs of 3 weeks, the last time I had a consecutive long runner at the top for as long as that must have been Alcazar's Stay The Night :o

11 - Dangerous and A Neverending Dream are two of my favourites, but What Do You Want From Me was an awful choice - so bland that I accidentally charted another song instead of it one week :kink: . I don't understand the point behind Because The Night either. Bad Boy, How Do You Do and Perfect Day got international releases, but why they weren't given a push here baffles me.

35 - It's not that I get bored of songs as such, it's more that I get into songs a lot quicker. I tend to have a favourite new song every week, and then often that'll be my number one for that week, but it doesn't mean I've necessarily gone off what was number one the previous week, if that makes sense? . I've had 13 number ones this year so far, two 4 weekers and the rest have had either 1 or 2 weeks at the top. What is interesting also is I've only had three number two hits this year, and by this point last year, I'd had 7.

Thanks West!

I Can is definitely up there in my top 3 of the year so far, although not #1 yet...

11. Yes I remember, I corrected you didn't I - I recall thinking 'what are you doing charting Who Do You Think You Are randomly' I know you liked A Neverending Dream but either Bad Boy or How Do You Do would have been much bigger and sold the album more effectively, some record company choices are baffling! At least they've all made it onto the tracklisting of the Best Of disc!

35. Yes, it makes sense! I guess songs take longer to hit me properly, mainly because I listen to SO many unique songs in a week but never anything over and over again. Even Popular I probably only listened to 5 or 6 times last week  Blue's I Can is only on a playcount of 45 despite being in my top three for ten weeks! That averages less than five plays a week :o Meanwhile, every song in my top 75 and at least a hundred others also get a couple of plays a week. I know other people literally only listen to one artist/group of a few songs all week long, but I find that I get bored very quickly of songs if I do that :drama: I've still only listened to Gaga's album twice in full since downloading it last week! I've had 10 #1's so far this year (compared to 9 at this point last year) and 5 #2's (also compared to 9 at this point last year :o). My chart was FAR faster in its early days when I had less music to listen to and therefore did exactly what I don't do any more and hammered a select few songs each week - in 2000 I had 30 #1's! My low is 2002 oddly enough with only 16 #1's which was a result of hugely long runners from DJ Sammy, Flip & Fill feat Kelly Llorenna and ATC - those three accounted for 28/52 weeks between them!

11 - Yes that's it! I got confused by the similar titles

35 - I listen to more unique songs a week than most, but probably nowhere near as many as you. I think I listen to around 100 different songs a week, with the top 20 or so getting the most plays. Timoteij got 13 plays last week so deserved number one, but Kati Wolf has racked up 85 plays in total  . I'd had about 10 number ones by this point last year, so I'm 3 up at the moment. My most number ones was 43 in 2005, Dancing DJ's vs. Roxette being the longest with 3 weeks at the top :heehee: . The least was 18 in 1998 when my music taste was extremely limited anyway - Steps held the top spot for 26 weeks in total that year

11. They are incredibly similar

35. 85 isn't that much, you should see some of the play totals going in the Gaga forum on here - some people have played songs that only leaked last week over 300 times each so far  You wouldn't have time to listen to anything else, not to mention that I'd be sick to death of her after that many plays. My all time most played song on iTunes remains Release Me on 170 odd plays, my most played this year is J.Lo's On The Floor with 69 plays. 43 #1's!?! That's absolutely insane!

REALLY hoping to have my chart out today or tomorrow, most of the Eurovision songs have taken HORRIFIC slides though...

Thanks Tom :D Eurovision will start sliding massively for me on my next chart I think, weird how quickly we all get over it once it's finished  Yes, I came around to C'est Ma Vie suddenly about a month ago, I even voted for it in the semi (hence Lithuania's 12 points from the UK in the semi - look how influential my vote is :kink:)

It's never too late to chart Popular :funky: Certainly not if you're only just getting round to charting A Night Like This in your top ten :o And yep, Bad Romance is a bonus track on iTunes, nice to finally have a studio version of it!

Thanks, good luck to you too!

Yep that Getter song is from her album, was apparently a single in Estonia last year too - I have no idea how she came 2nd last :( I knew the bookies were being too kind to it but I expected low top ten...

35 - My record for most plays is 106 for My Heart Is Refusing Me, but I haven't had this computer that long. I think Je Ne Sais Quoi or O Julissi were my biggest on my old computer at around about 300 plays each  . 43 is a ridiculous amount, but I remember liking so many songs that year and it was probably the year where I had my most diverse taste in music.

35. 300 is huge! Actually I'm pretty sure I must have played Hips Don't Lie at least that many times in my lifetime, it was in the top 2 of my chart for 18 weeks in 2006 and I probably listened to it at least 10 or 15 times over each of those weeks. Add all of the times I've listened to it since and it's huge!

Really? 2005 was amongst the lows of the decade for me musically, well the first half at least - it got a hell of a lot better!
