May 24, 201114 yr judas, btw and edge. the others will fall after the hype of the album dies down around the end of the week
May 25, 201114 yr As soon as I heard 'Americano', I knew that Lady GaGa had been 'influenced' by the spoken intro. of the 1954 UK No.1/USA No.10 Hit, 'Mambo Italiano', by Rosemary Clooney. (See YouTube). Sure enough, she's now said that she did 'borrow' from that 1950's Song. I think that the last 40 seconds of it sounds like The Dooleys, but others would probably say ABBA, as The Dooleys were not so well known Globally. I also think that it would be a big Hit for her. She needs one. So far, she's rushed out 4 Tracks off 'Born This Way', & not only have none of them made No.1, but only one of them has reached the UK Top 5 - 'Born This Way' - No.3.
May 25, 201114 yr ^ I'd say Born This Way was a big hit though, despite its chart peak. About ABBA, I felt Alejandro sounded quite ABBA-esque. Although I might only be making this connection because they have a song called Fernando. Americano is at #10 on Mexico iTunes! :o You and I is at #7 on US iTunes though, which is the more important country, so that'll be more likely as the 4th single I think.
