You know I wouldn't be surprised if 'the fans get to pick the single!' turns out just to be something she said without any means of doing it in place. They'll probably pick it themselves and then say they monitored fan reaction to the album. I'd be surprised if there's an actual poll anywhere at any point. Fan-chosen singles usually end in disaster anyway.

Heavy Metal Lover would tank in the American charts. Maybe not as much overseas, but America would hate it. It's just too dance-y for them. It would end up like Stereo Love, just missing the top 10. As for the UK, it *might* scrape the lower top 5, but that's really the highest possible. Brilliant song though.

 

As for Bloody Mary, I love the song, but I just can't see radio getting behind it anywhere, especially not the states. It's hard to explain. I just don't think it would work as well as, say, Marry the Night or Scheiße.

I'm sorry but I'm not seeing much logic in this post... Heavy Metal Lover is a chilled out pop song. It's not particularly 'dance' at all. You say Scheiße would make a good single and that's far more easily categorised as 'dance music'! And on top of that Stereo Love was a massive hit despite being by an artist unknown in the US. Now think of just how huge Gaga's profile is and a song like Heavy Metal Lover would be practically guaranteed a top 15 placing at the least if it got the full single works. Just my two cents...

I seriously hope it would be Scheisse or at least split it and make Scheisse the european single and Marry The Night the american single or something.

Scheiße is dance-pop. HML is dance. I personally wouldn't call it pop, although I could see your logic in calling it that.

 

However, I agree with the top 15 placing, as I said in my post (just missing the top 10).

Loving Bad Kids more everytime I hear it. Has a very summery vibe to it.

Bad Kids, I just cannot see it as a single. The song takes a bit of listens in order to grasp the song, something which the mainstream audience doesn't want as they want to get addicted to it as soon as they hear it.

I would be OK with these tbh (Heavy Metal Lover :wub:), although in my opinion Marry The Night would be a safe release, as it's very commercial.

 

Americano is not really radio friendly, true but very unique and special, and the people want something different from her not only commercial singles :D

Marry The Night would be best I think. Most radio-friendly and catchy. I'd LOVE to see Scheiße get a release but not sure if she would, or if it would work if she did. Americano could work too.
