August 3, 201113 yr I'd avoid SWP like the plague. His career has really stagnated and he's not that good. I'm sure I heard a rumour that you were after Adam Johnson on loan. He's far far far superior in just about every way to SWP. Johnson and Downing are the only true English proper wingers in the Premier League these days If Adam Johnson comes here on loan this season i'll submit a BuzzRate and give everybody 10s.
August 3, 201113 yr Transfers just depress me. We have the chief executive saying at the start of the summer that if we do one thing it'll be sign a left back given we haven't had one since Boxing Day 2008 and not signing one with the manage apparently being quite happy at using other players there despite it not being their natural position. Our chairman has joined Twitter and seems quite content that the squad we have currently will be the one we have for the season and the manager is stating he's worried about the lack of activity. :(
August 3, 201113 yr Boa Morte has left West Ham, I'm completely indifferent to the news except if he stays in the country I can see him joining another Championship side and inevitably scoring against us
August 5, 201113 yr Author I feel sorry for Arsenal. Fabregas is obviously worth £40m in the current climate. Barcelona are skint, and it's obvious they're trying to haggle down the price. I'd imagine the deal will be closer to £30m, and then there'll be £7-8m worth of add-ons. Surely Fabregas should be handing in a transfer request aswell? It's obvious he wants to leave.
August 6, 201113 yr Italian media reporting Sneijder going to Man City for £31m    I literally have nothing else to say. EDIT: Sky Sports sources understand Manchester City have not wrapped up a deal for Wesley Sneijder, contrary to reports in Italy. Renowned publication Gazetto dello Sport suggests City have snatched the Inter midfielder from under the noses of rivals Manchester United, who have been courting the Dutchman all summer. They believe Sneijder will feature in Inter's Italian Super Cup meeting with AC Milan in Beijing before jetting to England to sign an alleged agreement with City. There appears to be no truth in the revelation, though, with City and United preparing to go head-to-head in Sunday's FA Community Shield. Inter have repeatedly denied talks are being held with any Premier League club over Sneijder, and insist it will take a "non-refusable" offer to tempt them to sell.
August 6, 201113 yr Author If Sneidjer goes to Man City then Tevez is definitely going the other way. I'd be really worried at the moment if I was a Man Utd fan. I know the transfer window shutting is still a good few weeks away, but central midfield was such a problem position last year for you. Even if you signed Sneidjer, I still think you need another CM.
August 6, 201113 yr We're being linked with Bellamy. Would have taken him a few seasons ago, but he's not the player he once was. Just seems like it would be a waste of wages to me but hey ho. I'm liking how we're now trying to become a Manchester Rejects XI. Oh, and some Irish midfielder is apparently having a medical here this week. I know nothing about him besides him being "highly rated" in Ireland, and that Peterborough had 2 bids for him rejected. Another midfielder, exactly what we need.
August 9, 201113 yr So after saying it was a dream to play in England and that he couldn't wait to play for Forest, Dutch winger Wesley Verhoek has pulled out of a deal because he can't see himself leaving Holland! -_-
August 9, 201113 yr Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder has confirmed he would be interested in a move to Manchester United, and thinks unofficial talks may have taken place regarding the possible transfer. Since Paul Scholes announced his retirement at the end of the season, United have been linked with a host of replacements for the midfield talisman, with Luka Modric and Samir Nasri's name mentioned in certain quarters. Rumours have been abound all summer that Sneijder will make the move to Manchester, however, only now has the Dutchman conceded that he would be interested in a move. When asked if he would consider a move to United, Sneijder said: "Yes, but nobody has called officially. Maybe there have been unofficial talks. PLEASE GET IT DONE ALREADY
August 11, 201113 yr Enrique medical at Liverpool later today. Very good signing especially for the £5.5m being suggested
August 11, 201113 yr Author Enrique medical at Liverpool later today. Very good signing especially for the £5.5m being suggested £5.5m is a great price. Not bothered how much he costs though as he improves a weakness in the squad!
August 11, 201113 yr £5.5m is a great price. Not bothered how much he costs though as he improves a weakness in the squad! Yep. I love Aurelio, but he's probably the most injury prone player out there :(
August 12, 201113 yr DELIGHTED with the signing of Jose Enrique! We definitely need to build on the defence, and Enrique proved a strong link from Newcastle last season. I still very much miss the days of having Hyypia, Henchoz, Carragher at his peak.
August 12, 201113 yr & The Fabregas saga is finally coming to an end. Nasri looks like he's on his way out to City too I know I've said this before, but I really do dislike the way Mancini talks about other team's players DELIGHTED with the signing of Jose Enrique! We definitely need to build on the defence, and Enrique proved a strong link from Newcastle last season. I still very much miss the days of having Hyypia, Henchoz, Carragher at his peak. I think we're a central defender away from having a strong defence. I'd love for us to sign Cahill especially if Arsenal are targetting Dann and Jagielka instead.. Maybe in a cash plus player deal as Bolton have bid £4m for NGog First Choice: Johnson Cahill Agger Enrique Second Choice: Kelly Carragher Skrtel Aurelio
August 14, 201113 yr Author Fabregas to Barca for 30m euros. I love it when an unexpected transfer happens out of the blue.
August 14, 201113 yr Fabregas to Barca for 30m euros. I love it when an unexpected transfer happens out of the blue. Probably the only example of where the seller haggles for three years and ends up with a lower price than they started with. Well done Arsenal :nocheer:
August 14, 201113 yr Not an Arsenal fan, but actually quite sad to see him leave the PL. Great player Arsenal fans.. Any idea on who you'll bring in and what your team will be like vs. Liverpool on Saturday ?
