August 24, 201113 yr Joey Barton in talks with QPR. Fucks sake, couldn't this have happened a week ago? :( Edit: Nasri's also finally completed his long-winded move to City, four year deal. Edited August 24, 201113 yr by Y!kes
August 25, 201113 yr Author Craig Bellamy about to re-sign for Liverpool :o Quite pleased about this. Will be a good back-up signing, and can still put a shift in and has bundles of speed still left in him.
August 25, 201113 yr I'm quite surprised about Craig Bellamy possibly signing too.. Especially considering the policy the owners seem to have about signing younger players with good sell on values Sebastian Coates, the 20 year old Uruguayn Centre Back is due to sign too He had a brilliant Copa America and has the potential to be a bargain for £7m. Him signing makes more sense than going for the likes of Gary Cahill/Scott Dann as we tried to sign Phil Jones.. so obviously want a young CB. Carragher & Agger will be first choice for now too, whereas an older CB probably would have wanted more first team football. Let's hope he hits it off like a certain other player from Uruguay has
August 26, 201113 yr Joey Barton in talks with QPR. Fucks sake, couldn't this have happened a week ago? :( Edit: Nasri's also finally completed his long-winded move to City, four year deal. Barton has gone to QPR. I'm not sure what to make of the idea of him and Neil Warnock.
August 26, 201113 yr Author Barton has gone to QPR. I'm not sure what to make of the idea of him and Neil Warnock. Warnock's gonna exploit Barton's bad side of his game in to their tactics. Can see it a mile off.
August 26, 201113 yr Just wish they'd done it last week, I actually detest the man and not having him in the derby would have been a bonus. Ugh. Spurs in talks with Scott Parker.
August 30, 201113 yr To get a player of that quality for nothing and on a pay-as-you-play deal is a brilliant signing for anyone.
August 30, 201113 yr To get a player of that quality for nothing and on a pay-as-you-play deal is a brilliant signing for anyone. Agreed. It's a risk-free signing which could work out very well.
August 30, 201113 yr Rumours of Sunderland selling Gyan to Turkey for €6m! :o Tomorrow is going to be so busy, I can't wait! I love deadline day :D
August 30, 201113 yr Author damn im working tomorrow, I love deadline day! so many transfers are going through at the moment. Liverpool look like they're going to be signing Zarate
August 30, 201113 yr I just find it peculiar to spit in the faces if the Club and fans who have stuck by you for three years by joining their rivals.
August 30, 201113 yr But has he even had any other serious offers? All Hargreaves will want to do at the moment is play. Man Utd chose to get rid of him, he hardly played for them in years, he's joining a fantastic club and won't have to relocate.
August 30, 201113 yr Author To be fair to Hargreaves, a player of his quality is not going to find a club that easily with his injury problems. On his day he's a top top player. I think Leicester were interested in him, but he's far better than that. He's a Top 6 EPL club player. Man City have a shed-load of money and if he didn't join them he'd have no-one. Sticking by club loyalty isn't going to pay the bills. Very few players have loyalty these days.
August 30, 201113 yr Fair play to Hargreaves I say. United don't want him and I'm damn sure if they did he'd be happy to stay, after all they need a player like him if he's fully fit. Footballers don't have a long career as players and you can't argue he didn't give Utd his all when he could. No-one else seems that interested and he deserves a good club. If Utd legends like Denis Law can play for City and still command respect and adulation after switching to City then why shouldn't Hargreaves. He'll never be in the same league as Law of course but the principle remains. Club loyalty can only go so far when your career is at stake. I know an awful lot of dyed in the wool Utd fans that still have huge respect for Tevez for what he gave to the club. Utd were happy enough to let him leave too. Neither of them asked to leave and you cannot blame them for taking the best chance available to pursue their careers at the highest level possible. It's akin to saying 'I was sacked by Tesco so but I couldn't possibly work for ASDA' as they are the competition. He's not from Manchester and nor has he ever professed to be a Utd fan to my knowledge. At the end of the day he wants to play ther game and City are willing to give him the chance. I'm sure he'll always have love for Utd but that won't mean anything if he's sitting at home twiddling his thumbs every saturday come 3 o'clock for the rest of his career or wasting his talent away at Championship level or in the MLS for example
August 30, 201113 yr f***loads of rumours going round atm, could be a busy day for us tomorrow. Obviously Anton's gone to QPR which lowers the wage bill (He was signed by Keane, so he'll have been on astronomical wages), but if rumours are to be believed they're getting him cheap. Gyan's apparently off to Turkey for a reported £9m loss, which would explain why he's looked out of sorts this summer. Crouch, Helmes and Papiss Cisse all being linked, and really if we've freed some wages up i'd like to see us sign at least one of them even if Gyan stays.
August 31, 201113 yr Author Crazy deadline day. Aretea to Arsenal is back on - just the signing they need.
August 31, 201113 yr Today has proved that Wenger has still got it. Park, Mertesacker, Santos and Arteta, possibly Benayoun too. All great players in positions they need, and he's not spent too much on any of them. £16m for Cahill? Pah!
