Posted June 1, 201114 yr Apparently, this is the next single... http://www.vevo.com/watch/shontelle/say-he...ye/USUV71100644  Nice enough song, but won't be a hit. If PN didn't get her a hit, nothing on the album will...
June 4, 201114 yr Oh anything she releases will flop, aside from maybe the odd single once every 2 years.
June 4, 201114 yr Her label never actually promote her You'd never see her pop up on Ellen or do performance on a high rated award show like the VMA's for example.
June 4, 201114 yr She doesn't have the profile for that though. She'd need to get a bit of buzz on the internet/youtube etc to become a candidate for booking on Ellen or a show like that. Those shows book stars who they think will boost ratings after all.
June 4, 201114 yr The label could just splash some $$$ though, but they obviously know they won't get it back.
June 4, 201114 yr In an ideal world she'd be on a label who would invest money they know they won't get back instantly because it would raise her profile in the longer run and maybe the next album might have a fighting chance. I don't know what label she is on but those sorts of labels are few and far between. I think we have to assume that Fascination for a long time spent some of Girls Aloud's profits on the likes of Sophie EB and Bananarama so obviously it does happen now and again.
June 5, 201114 yr She's on a label called SRC records. To be honest, looking at the list of the artists on there, none of the artists are commercially successful. Akon is their only money maker. Others include Melanie Fiona, Ray J and Asher Roth.
July 27, 201113 yr This was released in the past few weeks in the UK. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't a hit. It's a really great track. Apparently she might be re-releasing 'No Gravity' this year which may mean she'll get a new single to go top 40 as long as her label doesn't mess it up.
