Well the 1st single from Evanescence's new album 'The Open Door' has leaked :o

 

I'm not sure what I make of it, it certainly sounds very different to their old stuff. I think I like it :cheer:

Is it heavier or have they gone even more poppy than the "Origin" days....?

I've heard some of it but if you could PM me the link to the whole thing I'd be very grateful. From what I heard and from what Amy has said about it, it's certainly going to be a very different album. Much heavier in places but also a few lighter ballad type tracks a bit like My Immortal and Hello. They also have this amazing piece called Lacrymosa, with a huge orchestra thing and jeez I love it!

i cannot see them doing near aswell this time round,they have left it to long since the first album,it will do ok but nothing great,im not sure if i even like the new single

It's the same as their other and just not that good on first listen :(

I ADORE IT, but I think it's a song you'll either love on first play or just never be keen on.

Really like this, prety commercial but most first singles are :P Be interesting how this does, hope it does well :cheer:

It doesn't strike me as a very strong song on the first listen, probably about level with 'Everybody's Fool'.
