Next up is the Aquafinian entry 'Runaway (U&I)' by Galantis. We gave the group a few points for 'You', whether they can replicate that for their new entry remains to be seen. ^_^

1. Galantis, this isn't actually the first time you've been sent to BJSC. Do you think 'Runaway (U&I)' has the potential to do better than 'You'?

Queen Alison was deeply impressed with the performance of 'You' that was sent by her favourite country Altyr. We received the phone call ask week asking to represent Aquafina which we quickly accepted. It's such an honour to be representing a country with incredible supporters and a fantastic music taste! It's a shame that there's so many weak countries surrounding Aquafina though.

2. We really like this tune, are you secretly expecting lots of Danaelandan points?

I'm not surprised you're enjoying 'Runaway', I fail to see why you wouldn't. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting Danaelandan points as Alison pointed out that you're a massive fan of dance music.

3. You watched the live performance of our own entry 'BANG!' earlier in the show, what do you guys think?

I've got to go back to Aquafina now, thanks for having me.

RUDE.

'Shotgun' was so much better than 'Till It Hurts' oop.

I think I preferred Shotgun too, although it grew on me after the HQ version was released oops.

Till It Hurts is still amazing though. I'll be v. disappoint if it DNQs

Next to perform is the Persephonian entry, it's also the 2nd trap entry of the night, and also the 2nd best trap entry of the night. Here to perform 'Hiding' it's San Holo, reminds me of that guy from Star Wars.

:music:

We will be back after the break with performances from Hendinia and Ethanola

  • Author

She's decided to not do an interview with us in the end, but here is the Hendinian entry anyway, which is quite the guilty pleasure!

apparently the song is a few years old! also she was apparently in t.a.t.u :o We didn't know.

A really good chilled deep house song, unfortunately we do not share the same semi as this so we can't award it but I have a good feeling that it'll qualify. Our last performance of the night is MYNGA 'Back Home (Matoma Remix)' representing one of my favourite nations Ethanola

I've been Oliver Heldens, and this has been Direct From Aelan. We will be back next contest. Until then, it's bye from me

:cheer: Superb. I want one for Dannic :(

current status: QUALIFICATION :cheer:

It appears that we have ourselves another qualification, our 17th out of 33 entries, also our 4th in a row which is a record consecutive run for us (our previous record being 3 in a row which we had set for the 3rd time with Climbin' (Piano Weapon) but now breaking it with BANG!). Now go bang, bang... vote for it in the final! :cheer:

Entry #033: BJSC LXXI: January 2015: Republic of Adonia

Click the artwork to watch the official video

Sandy Rivera feat. April "BANG!"

Semi Final: 15th (out of 28); 51 points

Final: 18th (out of 32); 90 points

Sandy Rivera becomes our 9th top 20 hit and 8th most successful BJSC entry. This year's BJSC aim is to score that elusive top 10 hit but we will also be sending songs we really really love in the process, and with 'BANG!' spending 6 weeks at #1 in Danaelanda it's fair to say we really think it's amazing.

We were very lucky to do so anyway as we only just scraped through the semi final process, finishing 15th there where finishing 16th would've given us a DNQ.

Altyr Muunilinst get their second win however, with IIIII 'People' getting 215 points, not beating the success of Blonde 'I Loved You' but a more than respectable finish nonetheless. Ramrynia, FSR Rontvia and Aquafina are also in the top 5, all of which we voted for. Finishing the top 5 however is Fljotavik who didn't go anywhere near getting Danaelandan points.

Our undeniable favourite Yellow Claw 'Till It Hurts' gives Yehesi another #7 finish, and Ethanola scrape a second top 10 finish with Mynga 'Back Home (Matoma Remix)'.

Former Danaelandan entrant Flume was entered by Usfland, but unfortunately it didn't do too well, finishing last. When we sent Flume he finished 12th so people clearly liked 'Insane' more than last contest's entry 'Drop the Game'.

Dance bloc member Aeroche didn't do too well, finishing 24th with autoqualifier Kryder 'Fiji' which nearly made our points.

Llewandia made an impact on Danaelanda in their first contest, receiving 7 points for Vicetone 'No Way Out'. It finishes 30th (too low). One place above were Botanikka who went for some great 90s trance, entering Storm 'Huri-Khan' which nearly scored points from us.

Republic of Adonia did get Danaelandan points but didn't do as well as people were expecting, only managing to finish 23rd when multiple sets of odds had it down for a top 5 hit. Also scoring points from us were Patvia who did one up from us, finishing 17th with Koven 'Miracle' and Persephonia who flop again with San Holo 'Hiding' at 28th.

This would have DNQed if Tinnmark voted! :o Unless of course they voted for you, but they didn't do so in the final.

Slay getting that top 20 despite

Danaelanda Fifth Year world tour

to mark 2015 being the fifth calendar year Danaelanda have participated in BJSC a world tour has been organised, featuring some of the most successful DJs from Danaelanda who have been entered by them into BJSC! Tickets are on sale at §200 or equivalent for the main room set / §100 or equivalent for the afterparty set.

As Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Hardwell and Oliver Heldens are massive names now in Danaelanda they will do alternating slots in the main room set, in order to keep up with their touring schedules. Most countries will have just one night but multiple dates are scheduled for Danaelanda itself, as well as Yehesi, Ethanola, Ajanaeda and Republic of Adonia due to expected high demand.

MAIN ROOM

7:00 - 7:30 EDX

7:30 - 8:00 Ferreck Dawn & Redondo

8:00 - 9:30 Tiesto or Steve Aoki

9:30 - 11:00 Hardwell or Oliver Heldens

AFTERPARTY

12:00 - 12:30 Sandy Rivera

12:30 - 1:00 Lucas & Steve

1:00 - 1:30 Shadow Child

1:30 - 2:00 Flume

2:00 - 2:30 Netsky

2:30 - 3:00 4 Strings

I see what you did there http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/8f70c6ea.gif

With Sandy and Shadow Child currently smashing in Yehesi, this'll go down well! Unless you're clashing with my tour obv

Any chance of a one off show in Ultraviolenceland? :)
not sure if DJ sets are your thing but yes the world tour is coming there :cheer: You have to choose whether you want Tiesto or Aoki / Hardwell or Heldens though :P
