The sales of Damita Jo aren't quite as disastrous as I thought they'd be...

Damita Jo done better then other albums

the first two sold really poorly, I'd be very surprised if they both actually sold 1 mil combined :o

 

Damita Jo did well imo, not compared to the sales of 'Janet.' but her opening week of sales in the U.S she sold 400K

i must admit i didnt think damita jo sold that well but im pleased it did. She not really had a huge disapointment rreally if u think about it, except he first few.

I agree Danny, it was made out to be much more of a flop than it actually was!

Damita Jo was a TOTAL FLOP. Don´t get me wrong, it´s impossible it has sold 4.5 million, and if it did, must be all shipments left on the shelves... If barely did 1 million in USA, and in UK it peaked at # 32 and disappeared forever... In practically every country apart from the US, it has chart between # 30 and # 60 in its first week, and left the Top 100 in less then 3 weeks. I doubt it has sold 150,000 in Europe overall...

I'l look into it, the list was from wikipedia so it may not eb true, although im sure the others are.

20 Y.O. sold 603.000 copies in US and shipped 1 million there..

 

global sales are 250.000 copies, so 20 years sold 855.000 copies and shipped 1.5-2 million.

Velvert the rope is good and so is Janet album.
