Absolutely f*cking awful! Only Love, Love on there that's any good.

after a couple of listens im quite happy with Progressed!

When We Were Young, The Day the Work Is Done, Beautiful, Love Love and Don't Say Goodbye are very good, easily better than some of the songs on Progress. Its strange that they could have put at least 2 of these songs on Progress from the start anyways rather than release it with just 10 tracks.

im sure the other songs will grow on me, Aliens is completely MAD (in a laugh out loud way) but overall its a strong collection of tracks and there are a good two or so songs that are single material.

P.S - it appears that many believe Progressed is actually better than Progress...

I enjoyed listening to this so much! ''The Day The Work Is Done'' and ''Don't Say Goodbye'' (and ''Love Love'') are phenomenal.

I honestly think we've been listening to two different albums! I find it an incredibly weak selection of songs those that don't sound chaotic just sound very, very dated. I do think Take That are pulling a fast one here ... they could just have had one album with eight good songs on (most of the original Progress and Love, Love from Progressed).

Progressed is definitely an album only a die-hard Take That fan could like and I guess I'm just not a die-hard Take That fan anymore. I'm really hoping that seeing them live again (their forte) will restore some faith - although from what I've heard - the new stuff is the weakest part of the show.

Definitely on my own amongst ardent TT fans as obviously TT fans will not hear anything bad said about anything they've done. Luckily some Rob fans appear to have some sense and don't suffer the 'Emperor's New Clothes' syndrome as badly as most.

So anyone who likes the album and disagrees with you doesn't have any sense?

lol maybe that's because they are robbie fans and he sings on 2 tracks on Progressed so they aren't happy.

either way I like it and if you don't then don't buy it

With regard to Progressed ... CERTAINLY! :P

Man is outstanding. It's soooo amazing. All new songs except Love Love are fantastic.
Any more links? The ones posted at the top have all been blocked.

They have just put an album sampler on YouTube (with around a minute of each song):

Nice to see an extended play CD that is actually worth the money. Some great tracks and I'm in the camp that feels it's better than the original Progress album.

Don't Say Goodbye, Man, Beautiful and When the Work is Done are stand outs so far.

No offence to anyone but Take That fans are the absolute worst at doing this! Considering they appeal to an older crowd you'd expect them to be quite constructive in their criticism but god they're awful in general. I'm still scarred from being a member of the official forum

I'm intrigued to hear Progressed now after such conflicting reviews, hopefully my copy might arrive early and I'll get it tomorrow but if not I can't wait until monday!

Here's a couple of reviews:

The Express: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/251745...ressed-Polydor-

BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/6xzb

Independant: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...or-2295227.html

Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/usshowbiz/index.html

Looking at these reviews (from respected critics) it seems the consensus towards Progressed is positive to very positive!

Interestingly people have been hearing from Chris Moyles and other radio sources that 'When We Were Young' is a new single that will be released soon. It's a great song in my opinion but as was the case with Kidz/Love Love they don't promote properly and the majority of the fan base will already have the EP so charting wise it probably won't do great unless they do something along the lines of Said It All and the collectors CD of three versions.

I wonder if a couple of these songs will make there way onto the setlist now that they are released on Monday...It wouldnt make sense to have them on there before everyone had heard them as no one would have a clue what they were singing but i can definately see 'When We Were Young' as the last song after Eight Letters and perhaps 'Don't Say Goodbye' during the Piano Medley??

Swagger - Progressed is awful - believe me. I don't care what the Independent, Telegraph, etc say ... its all a case of 'no-one can say anything against the Emperor and his new clothes'. The Popjustice review was more than generous and the Mirror one also - at least they said 'Kerching!' at the end of their 3 out of 5 (average) album review.

I'm still going to see them on Sunday and am looking forward to TT4, Robbie's solo set and Robbie/TT doing the old stuff. I'm definitely going to the loos when the Progress stuff comes on.
