"You've probably seen all of the forum, but it still deserves an article.

Today I had my umpteenth visit with my favorite one representative from SONY (label P!nk). As a good manager, I am interested in music news to anticipate potential future customers' demands .... (I admit it especially for me). I ask him if P! nk has something planned ....

P!nk, during his tour of the Summer Carnival Funhouse tour, writing and advanced on the next album. That's why there's a little less than a year, I announced a Best of New Album + 1 for the first quarter of 2011.

But Mother Nature has ensured that P! nk gets pregnant very quickly, so the project was delayed and has not been released this year. The album is well advanced, however, and he might even have continued during her pregnancy!

In short, the long awaited by fans, may arrive sooner than expected ... It may be considered for early 2012 (of course, all that remains only guess).

We have now to wait ... (Very hard, I know)"

Oooh :o

Well, I think 2012 gives her time to focus on Willow for a while

I'd love for her to do some sort of soundtrack to the new Tomb Raider game which comes out around the same time  Doubtful though.

She deserves a nice break with Willow, then she can come back with yet another brilliant album

Apparently its almost finished, so I'm guessing she wrote most of it on tour last year with Butch Walker, she was seen arriving and leaving recording studios after tour had finished. Releasing it early 2012 gives her a year to spend time with Willow

Good news! Gives her enough time to enjoy family life before getting back on the road!
  • 1 month later...

Great news :D

I wonder what sound it will have?

Max Martin is always great, nice to see Pink working with him again! As for the sound, I'd quite like a mix of the usual pop/rock with maybe a couple of tracks experimenting with electro-pop? And maybe a bit of the early R&B sound!
I'd love a little bit of R&B. Her first album is great, so it would be nice to go back to that for a couple of tracks. But rock is more suited to her these days.

Electro-rock ala 'Flavors of Entanglement' era Alanis Morissette please!

I'm conflicted because I want more rock Pink as she's best at that, but I'd like her to experiment with electro-pop, electro-rock etc. Maybe she could do a double album, half rock and half electro? :P
I hope she goes back to the kind of music she made BEFORE Funhouse. I don't care which sound, I'm Not Dead, Try This or Missundaztood would all work for me! I am hoping for more of a rock sound though
