England beats Uruguay 2:0 (Chalobah, Clayton) and is through to round 2.

And so is Uruguay, since Canada and Rwanda came to a goalless draw.

The top 3 of the remaining groups are sure to pass to round 2 since they all have teams with 3 or more points, and Canada and North Korea finish third with only 2 points.

Group A - 1 Mexico 2 Congo 3 North Korea 4 Netherlands

Group B - 1 Japan 2 France 3 Argentina 4 Jamaica

Group C - 1 England 2 Uruguay 3 Canada 4 Rwanda

Group D - 1 Uzbekistan 2 USA 3 New Zealand 4 Czech Republic

Group E - 1 Germany 2 Ecuador 3 Panama 4 Burkina Faso

Group F - 1 Brazil 2 Côte D'Ivoire 3 Australia 4 Denmark

SEMIFINALS

Uruguay 3:0 Brazil

Mexico 3:2 Germany

So Uruguay and Mexico will move on to the final. Whereas the Uruguyans have never made this far on a U-17 World Cup, for the Mexicans this is a chance to emulate their 2005 title.

Wow

Uruguay and Mexico final. Unexpected

Uruguay were easily beat 2 - 0 by England during the group stages

Edit: N-S you beat me to it

1st Mexico 2nd Uruguay 3rd Germany 4th Brazil

Mexico wins its second U-17 world title, after first winning back in 2005.

This is the first time that home nation wins an U-17 World Cup.
