It doesn't quite work like that. Through the show from right at the beginning the voting percentages are displayed on screen. Then at the end of the show they have a 1 minute countdown, and whoever is 1st they qualify for the next show. They then repeat the countdown for the 2nd place etc.

Before Roman qualified at the end of the first countdown, the voting percentages were all between 21% and 19% for each person - so very close indeed!!

Roman is the favourite, but tonight is the first time he (and Yana) have been in serious danger of elimination :)

I see, seems a strange way to do it

It is definitely different but extremely exciting!!!!! :D

Roman Lob - Conflicted

Meh. Such a dull song. Good there will be other two to choose from. 6/10

Anybody watching this?

Roman's just done his first song - Addicted. Pretty nice, anthemic with good production. I did feel that it got a bit repetitive towards the end but a nice bit of power pop nonetheless. 8.5/10

It's 'Conflicted', Rich :kink:
Oops, clearly it wasn't repetitive enough for me to remember the song title! Mikey moment indeed.

Ornella - Quietly

Cliched ballad. But I liked it. 9/10

Ornella is very similar looks-wise to Lena, right down to her hair and dress sense  Her voice reminds me more of Michelle of Germany 2001 fame.

Quietly is very pleasant, struggling to be more enthusiastic as The Secret Is Love and even Somewhere Beautiful did the genre far better (waits for one of these comments to famously come back and bite me). 8/10

Both were alright, Ornella's song was better, but there's something about her voice I don't like for some reason. Hope it improvs either way.

I have the same problem. It feels like it's going to break any second  She's nothing special. I don't see how she made it to the final. (Well, I do, all the 'Lena' things helped a lot). Was the competition really that bad?!

Anyway, Alone sounds like another rocky-pop cliche. GIVE US SOMETHING INTERESTING. Nobody will vote for this datedness.

Roman - Alone - Wow, these songs are all tailor made with juries in mind aren't they. This was just as repetitive as Conflicted but I'm not sure that I liked it as much. He has a very strong voice though. 7.5/10.

Lol I forgot this 15 minutes after I posted the link
We should have one of these shows in the UK..

Your Country Needs You in 2009/2010 was similar. Sadly though we only got the choice of one song at the end.

This is the first time I'm watching, so no idea, but it seems that way :/ Anyway, this isn't much better, but still, prefer hs voice, so hopefully he has a better song next

What is everybody watching it on, because I've ended up on like baku.soviet.tv or something, and the pitch keeps going different all the time.

Alone - Her voice sounds really weak, boring song imo 5/10

Ornella is Brazilian, and I'm Portuguese so I don't like or trust Brazilians. Give me eye candy and make Roman win! HA

I hope there's a pearl tonight like Satellite two years ago! :)

The way we did it in 2009 with Jade Ewen needs to happen again - off topic but, interesting that Rita Ora pulled out from Your Country Needs You to be replaced by Jade in 2009, and the former is on her way to a #1 this weekend.
