Country Name Origin

Ramrynia is split into three sections in order to explain the name of the country. 'Ram' represents the founder's favourite football team which goes by the nickname of 'The Rams' (members from the UK will know this team to be Derby County). 'Ryn' is from the name of the country's founder 'Ryan'. 'ia' was chosen to be the suffix of the country name as it was felt that this was the best way to complete the name of the country. Therefore, pronounced "ram-rye-knee-ah", we have Ramrynia!

The Flag

The flag of Ramrynia represents different aspects of the country. The blue and yellow represents the fact that a large part of Ramrynia sits on the coast which is famous for it's golden yellow sandy beaches and it's great weather with lots of blue skies! The red lines represent the country's capital city Cherry Tree City. Finally, the black and white colours in the centre of the flag represent Ramrynia's favourite football team which goes by the nickname of The Rams, hence the 'Ram' in the name of the country!

Information

Ramrynia is situated on the Eastern island of the Twin Continent in the Buzzjack World! The country is situated on the coast, D'yermak'er share the western border, Quintessa, Sandebörg and Terra Avium share the northern border and Mezidinia and Danaelanda share the eastern border. Altyr Muunilinst can also be seen in the distance from the southern coast of Ramrynia. In terms of music, Ramrynia's chart consists of mostly pop music and dance & house music.

Thanks :D

Unfortunately I might not be able to enter in July :( as I might not have internet access for the latter part of the month. Nevertheless, I can't wait to take part in August!

Welcome, looks like both our countries will have our debut in August :D

Ramrynia Selects Entrant for Debut Contest

As Ramrynia are entering their first contest, there has been a lot of excitement around the country and after much deliberation, Ramrynia has selected their entrant to represent them in BJSC XXXVII. The song is a ballad which was written especially for the act performing it by a very well-known musician. The ballad can have different meanings to different people, but we believe it is an empowering song about overcoming your fears, having the confidence to be yourself and sharing your life with someone you love.

As fellow participating country Daehun has said, it has been noticed that ballads do not usually fare to well in BJSC. But, we believe our song is very powerful and represents what Ramrynia believes in which the country feels is the most important thing. More details will come once we are able to announce the entrant once voting opens for the semi finals. :)

Oh, 2 ballads from 2 debuting countries already :o

Daehun's public audience will be interested to hear the ballad from Ramrynia very soon as both debut entries are ballads.

Ramrynia will be very interested to hear your ballad too. I've had this song in my head ever since I signed up in June, and I don't think many people (maybe no-one) will have heard it before - so I want to see what people think of it :) I love a good ballad :D

Good luck anyway :)

Good luck to you as well, this is my most played ballad ever and I don't think anyone has heard of it. I planned to send an up-tempo but I think it's too cheesy so I stuck with a ballad instead.

Thanks :) and I'm looking forward to hearing your song :D

Hmmmm, your entry sounds a LOT like mine, and just a word of warning it's MINE ( ;) )

Ooooh, I can think of another song that fits my song description quite well, maybe that's yours - I hope so! Are you entering a ballad too then?

Hmm... I've only heard Fireflies and I hated it, but I liked Rebecca's version on X Factor :D I still think's there's a good chance of me liking it though ;)

DIANA VICKERS TO REPRESENT RAMRYNIA IN BJSC XXXVII

As the voting for the semi-finals has now opened, we can reveal that chart-topping artist Diana Vickers will represent Ramrynia in their debut contest with the song 'Sunlight'. The song was written by Mark Owen from Take That especially for Diana when she starred in the West End production of 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice'. Her performance as Little Voice won her the Theatregoers' Choice Award for London Newcomer of the Year in February 2010.

As we said previously, the ballad can have different meanings to different people, but we believe it is an empowering song about overcoming your fears, having the confidence to be yourself and sharing your life with someone you love.

Finally, we'd like to say good luck to Diana and hope she has a great time competing in Isconia with 'Sunlight'. :D

Hi guys :)

If anyone has listened to live version of the song during her performance in 'Little Voice' (see above), I'm curious to know if you prefer it to the studio version or not? :)
