Recently K-Pop has been picking up hype, and I remember someone saying at least one K-Pop act would get a UK and/or US top 10. And today I heard a new girlgroup RaNia (the brainchild of Teddy Riley) are getting an international launch - and they have two fully English songs (English versions of Korean hits). Here they are:

Personally, I think they (particular Dr Feel Good) sound like they could be hits, very 'in' sounding and generic (I still really like them).

I do hope they can be a sucsess, and pave the way for other K-Pop acts to do English songs by showing it's worth it. Hopefully 2NE1 and Girls Generation follow suit! :P

What do you guys think?

This sounds right up my street, will check it out. But Teddy Riley is pretty old now, I reckon 2NE1 are more likely to do it since they have will.i.am's backing.

I would LOVE 2NE1 to do it, they are quite current without being too generic. There's an English version of Can't Nobody as well, that could easily be the first single without much effort (except in the promo, would have to be lots!)
True, I reckon they're edgy enough to appeal right now too. Anyway I quite like Dr. Feel Good (I think I heard it before though?) but the other song is pretty weak.

Teddy Riley has dumped the girls around a month and a bit ago due to personal clashes with the girls management company.

Oh :( That's a shame, they had potential so hopefully it works out for them.
