Anyway I'm really liking the sound of Lucky Day, more than Beat Of My Drum actually, but it is a SMIDGE Little Boots.

Pseudo-naievty or "covet thy neighbour"?! It's a bit too much BY NUMBERS for my taste at the moment. Each sort of MOMENT very much JARRING with the last. I just don't see a streamlined IDEA as of this moment. Lots of artists to like and imitate and ULTIMIATELY FLATTER but with very few results to show with the final product...

 

Bit of both. I don't think she's putting it on as much as, say, Marina is in her latest effort. Perhaps the lack of 'idea' will lead to an album of spontaneous magnificence which is lacking in the efforts of other artists in 'her' genre. It's hard to be completely, one hundred percent natural/original because no matter what she did she would be compared with others.

I like the intro to that remix, the rest is 'meh'

Can't seem to get into this song :( I find it quite boring tbh, compared to Beat of My Drum. And I hate the form of the song. She should repeat the chorus again on the 2nd Chorus. Sorry I'm very picky :/

The (apparently) official mash-up of 'Lucky Day' with 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' has leaked! It's just the original of 'Lucky Day', but with a remixed backing track. It's nice as a remix though, I much prefer it to the one I posted a few pages back. PM me if you would like a link though :D

 

I really hope this song is a hit, I've not seen any buzz for it anywhere :( Hopefully we'll see some promo performances pronto!

I KNOW RIGHT? This is one of the best things a solo Girls Aloud member has released too.

Can I have a link too please? I'm fairly sure that it can go top 40 again, Beat Of My Drum looked like flopping completely at one point.

I can't imagine how it would go anywhere near, 'Beat Of My Drum' had small initial hype as it was her debut single. This doesn't have a thing going for it. :(

I see it charting around #50 which is terrible.

 

I just hope the album goes Top 40!

I highly doubt Chris Moyles has that much influence, even if we wanted to stop a song being playlisted that badly.

Only just heard 'Lucky Day Dancer'. OH MY LORD IT'S AMAZING.

It fits so well! Prefer it to the original ('Lucky Day') haha.

Haven't really commented on this new effort of Miss Roberts.

Well, to be honest, I do like it but her voice is horrendously annoying on this one. Especially when she belts out that "my lucky day daY DAY, maybe it's my lucky DaAaAaYyyyy... MAAAH!". Which is such a shame for a fab tune.

 

That said, it kinda all clicked today. Maybe it's because of the new situation I put myself into recently, but suddenly "Lucky Day" makes sense. Even her goat-y moans.

I don't think it is no. Which is a shame as I think alot of people prefer it to the original.
