July 19, 201113 yr The music video is being filmed next week. Announced by Leonadaily on Twitter and Leona's make-up artist on Facebook. Hope it's epic! I'm thinking a beach with lots of people. Most of her videos are quite dark so I'm looking forward to a bright fun one.
July 19, 201113 yr Leona Lewis With regards to my song, avicii was aware & agreeing publishing splits for himself and his manager When avicii sent his track out to have a song written over it I totally fell in love with this version and i think he's super talented x
July 19, 201113 yr Glad she cleared it up personally. I won't hold my breath waiting for an apology from Ministry of Sound or Avicii.

Just love her. Glad she personally cleared it up and did it with such grace. The music video is being filmed next week. Announced by Leonadaily on Twitter and Leona's make-up artist on Facebook. SO EXCITED. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I really dont know what to expect...really, i dont think it'll be a club scene video, but maybe it will in Ibiza or something? So curious! Cant be too summery if released in September  Edited July 20, 201113 yr by Karma
July 20, 201113 yr Latest in the saga: Avicii: @leonalewismusic Thanks for accusing me of lying and speaking on my behalf. Avicii: @leonalewismusic Since we never met or even spoke, please let me and my manager know who told you that and what confirmation they gave you. Hopefully all this mess gets cleared up soon. :(
July 20, 201113 yr Eughhh this is turning out to be quite a mess of a situation! I really wish they could have resolved this behind closed doors, without getting the public involved as it is tarnishing Leonas reputation! Obviously there has been some sort of mix up as I don't think either party would blatantly lie though...

Hopefully all this mess gets cleared up soon. :( I'm sorry but what an a**hole. Why does he have to be so rude? Especially to Leona of all people, who handles things with such grace and maturely. There has obviously been a mix up somewhere which has NOTHING to do with Leona, and i'm sure it'll be sorted, but its just ridiculous now, the only talk on the video is Avicii not on the actual song and leona's comeback! July 20, 201113 yr I think it's ridiculous people are actually mad at Avicii because of their/his (w/e) reaction toward the song that got used without permission. I would be pissed off too and I wouldn't take no shit response from anyone.
July 20, 201113 yr The longer this goes on the higher the chances of Avicii being in the right are, surely? Usually stuff like this goes away fairly quickly but this hasn't died down at all, it's just going back and forth from one party to the other. I don't see what Avicii would gain by keeping on doing this if he is actually wrong. More publicity? Maybe, but it would just be making him look like more of a bellend each time, it's now at the point where it would have an adverse effect. Calling him a cunt for publicly replying to a public message. :manson:

No i completely understand why anyone would be annoyed if the case was someone steals your song, or any creation for that matter. However, the way he's handling situation doesnt show him in a good light or help matters, they should be speaking behind scenes about it because obviously there has been a mix up! Leona is clearly in the belief that they allowed the creators (SandyVee and whoever else was involved) to use their track! It will be sorted but for now its just ridiculous. What about Avicii fans have you not seen what they've been calling Leona? If you're going to comment on it surely you should look at both sides. Some fans (small number) arent dealing with it in the best way on BOTH sides just insulting eachother all over the internet which doesnt help matters either. Especially as nobody actually knows the true story. I hope this has an adverse effect, but as they say any promotion is good promotion, and he's obviously looking for it or he would of done it privately like it should of been handled. -_- Edited July 20, 201113 yr by Karma

And she (or her management team) have PUBLICLY stated that. So if Avicii is of a differing opinion why shouldn't he also go public?
July 20, 201113 yr And she (or her management team) have PUBLICLY stated that. So if Avicii is of a differing opinion why shouldn't he also go public? But look at the difference in how they dealt with it, one with Grace and one with just pure attitude. Who knows both Leona (well leona definitely) & Avicii may be innocent in all this and it may be problem with people behind the scenes, so why the need to be rude? Just unnecessary.

What else is he supposed to do? If Avicii is correct then they are accusing him of lying and Leona's team are also being rude by announcing things which aren't true. They are accusing him of lying somewhere because if they're telling the truth then by default they're saying he hasn't, and he's saying it should go to his management team, which it should. Leona's team seem quite happy for it all to be publicly aired so I see no reason why Avicii should be doing it privately. It's been happening for a week now and if it hasn't been sorted like Aviciii believes he has every right to be annoyed and 'rude' about it when the other team are airing it so publicly!

Leona has been called some appalling names from Avicii fans.
July 20, 201113 yr Rain you put across your points so perfectly. What else is he supposed to do? If Avicii is correct then they are accusing him of lying and Leona's team are also being rude by announcing things which aren't true. He shouldnt be rude to someone who has been nice to him, its just not something he should do. Its just a slap in the face when she has described him as 'super talented' and that she fell in love with the track. Treat others how you would like to be treated, you may not live by that but I do and I think he should think about that. -_- He's credited on the song so I don't see how that is possible if he hadn't given his permission. He sent out his track for writers to write over. Now he wants to release his version with the Ministry of Sound so he's pissed. Quite! Leona has been called some appalling names from Avicii fans. THIS. I just hope she hasnt come across them because they are disgusting and completely unnecessary. Edited July 20, 201113 yr by Karma

It's been happening for a week now and if it hasn't been sorted like Aviciii believes he has every right to be annoyed and 'rude' about it when the other team are airing it so publicly! Avicii and Ministry of Sound were the first to make public statements on Twitter. This was on the day Collide premiered. Something doesn't add up with their story for me. Avicii and his management claim they didn't hear Collide until it premiered on radio. And yet Ministry of Sound (his label) clearly had heard it in advance because they had sent their plagiarism story to Digital Spy who were instructed to publish it at 4:30pm (the time Collide was set to premiere.) So if MoS had heard it in advance, why had they not contacted Avicii's management to inform them of the situation? The demo of Collide also leaked onto Youtube a few hours before it premiered with a picture of Leona crying which seems very suspect to me. MoS have mentioned the demo on twitter which makes me think they had something to do with that leak. Then you also have Sandy Vee's tweets to Avicii where he was clearly pissed and insulted at the very implication that he may have done something wrong. "Tell the truth or I will!" were his words before he removed the tweets. Edited July 20, 201113 yr by Rain
July 20, 201113 yr So both sets of fans are as bad as each other? What a shocker!! Just because he's credited doesn't mean it's been approved. He can send it out for whatever reason, they can do whatever they want, it still needs his approval to actually go ahead. When it first arose last week it was hardly surprising and isn't uncommon. Either the details and permissions hadn't been finalised or the smaller artist gains by having a few more people know of him, more people listen to 'Penguin' and more people know that Leona's song isn't totally original. It should not however be still going on over a week later. It would usually just blow over straight away, it's now got to the point where he's got absolutely nothing to gain from still complaining, unless of course he's the one in the right. I'm not saying he is the one in the right, it's just now reached the stage where it's become more bizarre than anything else. If he isn't then he's a bigger moron than most people would ever have imagined.
July 20, 201113 yr Exactly Rain, the only people who will gain from this is Avicii and MoS, they're looking for trouble and publicity. Just because they are still going on with their plan doesnt mean 'Oh okay they are right'. Nicola Carlson (Leona's Manager.Close Friend) also tweeted 'The Truth Will Prevail'. There is something fishy going on, and on Avicii's side. "So both sets of fans are as bad as each other? What a shocker!!" Why generalise? Its a small number of fans on both sides. Also you say this so why just bring up what Leona fans were saying then? Edited July 20, 201113 yr by Karma
