Apparently, Sony Music Japan confirmed last October that Avril's fifth studio album will be coming sometime this upcoming spring! It looks like this is true with the recent single announcement! :cheer:
For some reason I'm imagining a song similar to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together in sound. Much as I love Avril, and that sound, it seems like she's desperately clawing to get a hit :drama: Although you can't really judge based on just a title so I'll stop being quite so cynical so early on!

From Popjustice:

Apparently during her radio interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning, she said the following about the album:

- The album is not finished; she has one more song she wants to write by herself. It will be out this summer.

- There is a song called ''Hello Kitty'' which is described as ''aggressive, different and not what you'd expect''. It is partially in Japanese.

- Another title is Bad Girl ft Marilyn Manson

- Duet with Chad.

- A lot of ballads.

A CD single of 'Rock N Roll' has been made available to pre-order on the official Walmart website, and the artwork that goes with it seems to confirm that Avril's new album will be called 'Avril Lavigne' and released on September 24th!

You can see this on the Walmart website here!

Really excited for her album surprisingly. Heres To Never Growing Up and Rock N Roll are both seriously good pop/rock songs.

Of course that is probably not true, but just in case it is!

Finally some news, September is an amazing month for music as always.
2NE1? Bitches Get Stitches? Doesn't seem too real to me.

Not a fan of the artwork but I am excited! Hopefully it follows the likes of Demi and Ciara in being another amazing self titled album from this year! :kink:

Have little to no interest in this, but Dixie Chicks and 2NE1 could rectify that. Here's To Never Growing Up was horrendously average ultimately, Rock N Roll is pretty good though.

WHAT is it with the trend in horrendous artwork recently too? Fully expecting Miley Cyrus to outdo all with BANGERZ though.

I never understand why people self-title anything other than their debut.

Probably because it is genuinely quite hard to come up with a decent album title, and they would rather that than have a horrible album title.
