July 15, 201113 yr Some of the comments i'm reading you can tell that the person has only listened once or twice, seriously this song really clicks after a few more listens. Its SO addictive for me. Only huge fans of Leona will persist in listening to this over & over to get it. People who aren't that fussed will form an impression on first listen. It hasn't enough of a pull for me to make me want to listen again. Think it will go top #5 as it will get far more airplay than it deserves. Edited July 15, 201113 yr by truly talented
July 15, 201113 yr I've no doubt this will chart in the top 10 somewhere. What is interesting though, is that the song which Collide samples, Avicii's Penguin, now also has an official vocal by somebody else, and is now called Fade Into Darkness, which I enjoyed much more than Leona on first listen. Though I doubt this version will have as much success as Collide, it is odd that there are two different vocal versions of that song being released in the future. I would have thought that this new version is a waste of time, since Leona will bring money in for Avicii anyway I imagine.

No. When people come across it a few times on radio it'll catch on, like most songs do, not everyone instantly loves a song straight away and likes/buys it. Why do you think great songs sell over a long period of time, because some songs take longer to catch on and for people to get. For instance, for me, Do it like a Dude, didnt like it on first listen, didnt listen to it for weeks, started hearing it more and more on radio and it finally clicked and i ended up liking it. Thats just one of many examples. Get far more airplay then it deserves? Okay and who decides how much a song 'deserves' to be played on the radio? Edited July 15, 201113 yr by Karma
July 15, 201113 yr Its just very ordinary. Neither great nor terrible. A bit bland really. If I'm being honest - I'd rather listen to Cher Lloyd's Swagger Jagger than this. Kath
July 15, 201113 yr It wasn't as I would expect. maybe in a good way and bad. That's based on what she wants to make of herself in the next album, she said originally it was to make her like gaga and rihana based on personality and style. It was meant to be more bad-ass but this seems a bit like her older songs. But I'm glad she hasn't done a "Not Myself Tonight" going too far too soon. It all depends on the video really
July 15, 201113 yr the remix seems to make it sound better. if the clubs pick it up this could be huge
July 15, 201113 yr Leona - Collide (The Afrojack remix) 0_xD_GWOxRk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_xD_GWOxRk
July 15, 201113 yr Author Thanks Martin! Loving that Afrojack remix, clubs will pick this tune up 100% and this will be huge I think.
July 15, 201113 yr Fade Into Darkness is much better, I hope Ministyr of Sound somehow can stop this fro being released, not because I have something against Leona but because I love Avicii's music and I don't want this to be more succesfull than his track. Afrojack remix is great and should be used as main version, it's at least mroe different to Penguin/Fade into Darkness

Also the remix will be the one played around the clubs. :w00t:
July 15, 201113 yr #4-5 not the strongest song.......ive listened bout 10 times already and im only listening that much cos i love Leona but the songs just not good :(
July 15, 201113 yr Loving this song... has taken a few listens, but its really good... number 1 for sure (well, not for sure, but with the right promo i think this can pull in casual track buyers as well as hard core fans)... the whole 'plagiarism' thing is a bit fishy to me... PR stunt? but not sure which side is playing? Ministry or Syco? either way, i cant believe that leona, autumn or sandy vee believed there was a problem... i think this is just one for the managers and lawyers to get involved in... reckon it'll be released and be a huge hit anyway :-) well done leona. gonna really enjoy hearing a club floor filler with a great vocal (for a change) x
July 15, 201113 yr #3 or #2, i would have said number 1 but i think the gap between its radio debut and offical release is to long.
July 15, 201113 yr I really hope Pixie and Leona can be top two. Either that or Pixie might like to move her release date forward a week and all is merry and bright.
July 15, 201113 yr barring any 'plagiarism' issues, i think demand for leona will mean her release will be moved forward, to be honest, especially if the rumours of the video being shot are true... hope so anyway... i really dont think radio is gonna take long to pick up on this, so they can probably pick a betta (quieter) week to release, in august, its not like they're waiting for an xfactor performance! :-)
