So I am pleased to announce the results of the 2nd Annual BuzzJack's Ultimate Female Countdown. Thanks to all 51 posters who voted for the 101 females who made it through to the voting stage.

The main questions are:

Will Lady Gaga retain her crown?
What about the likes of Adele, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger and others? They've all had a fantastic year and have made significant progress this year but is it enough for any of them to take the #1 spot?

Before I post any results here are the 27 females who didn't receive enough nominations to be eligible for this year's competition (with their positions last year), and therefore exit the top 100 to make way for 27 new entries.

47 Duffy
50 Debbie Harry
55 Melanie C
56 Dido
58 Dannii Minogue
61 Tori Amos
64 KT Tunstall
66 VV Brown
70 Elly Jackson
71 Geri Halliwell
76 Ashley Tisdale
77 Faith Hill
80 Kate Nash

97 NE Alison Moyet 36

98 NE Cassie 30

99 NE Shingai Shoniwa 25

100 NE Shontelle 16

101 NE Agnes 11

So it begins with a slew of new entries and somebody had to come last. That acolade goes to Agnes. Sadly, I don't know a lot of her material other than the obvious hit 'Release Me' which hit the top 3 in 2009. Shontelle and Cassie are about as forgettable as female RnB artists can get. I'm shocked that anybody even remembers who Cassie is? Shontelle on the other hand did deliver the beautiful 'Impossible', which was rumoured to be Cher Lloyd's winning single had she emerged triumphant on last year's X Factor. Shingai Shoniwa failed to qualify last year and I'm surprised to see her in the list this year considering the Noisettes have failed to release anything of notice since their brief success in 2009. A very poor start really with some of the bland deadwood being cleared out. Huge shame about Alison Moyet though. I have recently discovered her greatness through the 80s duo Yazoo. I demand you check out their big hits 'Don't Go' and 'Only You'. The latter is probably very familiar.

Oh Sia! :(

Cassie is far too low. She's not forgettable in the slightest!

In my world Cassie is a one-hit wonder artist with a perfect pop meets r n b track "Me And You"  Didn't like/get interested/forgot her other stuff. :(

92 NE Wynter Gordon 56

93 96 Colbie Caillat 53

94 79 Sheryl Crow 47

95 NE Christina Milian 40

96 NE Natalia Kills 37

Last lot for tonight sees Natalia Kills at #96! I really don't feel she deserves to be included but bleh. At least her output under this guise is better than the hideous Verbalicious! Christina Milian had a slew of hits in the early 2000s. Personally, I was never that fussed but 'Dip It Low' was bearable. She did manage to remain relevant for a good five years after her debut as well. Sheryl Crow has been pretty quiet since the back end of the 90s. Albums have been released but other than a high charting greatest hits compilation in 2004, success has all but dried up. Crow tapped into a market of female pop-rock quite similar to Alanis Morissette. I'd definately place her higher despite not being a huge fan.

Colbie Caillat climbs briefly from last year's position, though other than Gooddelta and a few others, I doubt she'll ever be a prominent force in the UK. Finally, we end with Wynter Gordon. I'm still undecided on her but am liking what I've heard. I really don't think we'll be talking about her next year, but hey-ho she could be Nu-Ashanti :o

Shontelle, Agnes and Shingai right at the bottom? Well, that's not a good start. I love them.

Never expected Wynter to get high, so that's good even though she's disadvantaged by being incredibly new.

all the females dropping out really do give an indication of how they've become less and less relevant since last year, anyway, I can't say there's anything that has interested me so far
Oh Sia! :(

Cassie is far too low. She's not forgettable in the slightest!

HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT SIA!?!?

and hell yeah for Cassie! Where even is she these days?! Long way 2 go and Me & U were so good

Nothing too controversial so far. I was surprised Shingai and Christina Milian qualified this year to be honest, and I doubt Agnes is likely to ever get a UK hit again. Cassie is also now an irrelevant figure.

Would perhaps have expected Natalie Kills do perform better, though I won't complain too much really since I find her rather vulgar. To an extent Shontelle is also perhaps lower than expected.

What's rather more shocking is some of the females who've failed to make it through. Poor Duffy. Poor Sia. Poor Melanie.

I love that Cassie has inexplicably made a comeback (OF SORTS) despite not having released anything at all now in two years. That's STAR QUALITY for you.

If Shontelle has never made this list before I wouldn't have guessed or desired that she would enter now to be honest. The debut era produced some rather enjoyable music but the follow up album consisted entirely of stale Kelly Rowland rejects. And that's bad. Impossible redefined bland.

Fabulous for Wynter and I'm most pleased to see that she's higher than NOTED NOBODY NATALIA 'KILLS'.

87= NE Mutya Buena 68

87= NE Katy B 68

89 92 Beth Gibbons 64

90 71 Mary J Blige 63

91 NE Laura Marling 59

Mutya Buena still flying the flag for gypsies everywhere despite a very mediocre output. She ties for 87th place with Katy B, who has recently been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Personally, I fail to see what's so fascinating about her. I haven't liked one of her songs and she definately strikes me as an artist who nobody will remember by the time Album #2 comes around. Beth Gibbons and Mary J Blige are both on the slide from last year, the former being Portishead's front woman, whilst Laura Marling sparked controversy of her own when she denied Cheryl Cole a BRIT Award this year. Needless to say BuzzJack went into homo-meltdown :heehee: Sadly, Ms Marling doesn't upstage Cheryl in these results though.

Mary J blige so under rated on here , i placed her second!!!!

Very disappointed to see Mary this low. I know she's hardly at the top of her game anymore, but lower than the likes of Inna and Cascada? What is this f***ery.

Nice to see Laura Marling make an appearance more than anything, though I'm equally disappointed to see Katy B as low down aswell. A fantastic album, and I have no idea what the hate on BJ is about frankly.

Mary J.Blige and Mutya Buena should be higher imo, everyone else so far I don't really care about. Some shouldn't even be Top 100.

82 78 Santigold 80

83 71 Dusty Springfield 74

84 NE Inna 73

85 NE Nadine Coyle 72

86 NE Natalie Horler 70

I may be a bit harsh during this countdown but Natalie from Cascada? VILE in every sense of the word. I supposes their musical output was decent for about a year before they decided that ripping off current big tracks was the way to go. The public bought into it with their 'Just Dance' tribute 'Evacuate The Dancefloor' which became their first chart topper in June 2009 - but the 'Poker Face' infused 'Pyromania' and recent single 'San Francisco' that doesn't even attempt to disguise the fact it steals from 'California Gurls' showed that interest no longer existed for them.

Not even the GA loons could prevent Nadine Coyle from flopping once again. The sooner GA get back together, the better for pop music as far as I'm concerned. Inna is another one who doesn't deserve to be here. I sound like a stuck record but frankly some of the choices are BIZARRE. Even more so that Inna was placed as high as #6 on somebody's chart. Dusty Springfield and Santigold bring a level of respect back to the countdown. I must admit though that the only Dusty material I am aware of is her collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys. FLOP ME.

Mary is obviously a better artist than so many who've finished above her here but nonetheless the petty side of me enjoys seeing her so low given that she's been a perpetual disappointment for basically the last five years now. UP your GAME, MJB.

What is it about Gooddelta and his token flop star coming last in these things? Last year, Vanessa Amorossi, this year Agnes :heehee: I also think you're the only one who gave both of them points.

Well, I like Cascada, even if San Francisco is a bit tired. And the same with Inna, although I never expected either to come high.

Surprised a bit that Mutya's so low, though.
