I think we should urge everyone to buy Embrace (or download it) as its a great song and it deserves to be number 1 and its quite rare that an indie band ever gets to number 1.

Let's hope Embrace stays at the top

It will be a tight race by the weekend.

Good idea! It would be awesome if it got to no. 1 (seen as they have never even had a top 5 hit before!) but somehow i think ne-yo will overtake them by the weekend :(

I have ordered the album of play.com but I think I might download it to help sales even though it won't make much difference.

This is in today's Sun :(

POOR EMBRACE are set to miss out on their first No1 single on Sunday because of a miscount.

I hear chart bosses are trying to find why a rush of internet download sales for the band’s new entry Nature’s Law have been lost in the system.

The data, including some from iTunes, would have seen the indie lads sail to top spot. Now they are likely to be edged out to No2 by R&B star NE*YO’s new entry So Sick.

You’ve got to feel for Embrace, led by DANNY McNAMARA.

They have twice topped the albums chart, with debut The Good Will Out in 1998 and Out Of Nothing in 2004.

And though they have had nine Top 20 singles their best, Come Back To What You Know, got no higher than No6.

Well, I think iTunes and the OCC can sort this out.

It's not difficult to understand the song ranked as #3 by iTunes sold more then the song ranked at #4!

I feel gutted if this happened, after all they had the lead all week, over Ne*Yo

Yes, I think they'll fix the problem too. All stores - including online stores - will keep track of their sales for their own accounts so the data can't be lost forever. Surely? Hopefully.

It looks like lost donwload information could cost Embrace dearly as it states in the sun that Ne*Yo will pip Embrace to the top spot after some of Embrace's downloads have been lost.

I've done my contribution towards the fantastic Embrace today - even though I will be buying This New Day album next week.

Come on everybody buy British - we've got to stop a sub generic Usher wannabe being #1 on Sunday!
