New show from the creators of The Vampire Diaries, which seems similar but this time with witches. Starts Thursday 15th September at 9/8c on The CW over in the US.

Nice poster. The trailer doesn't look like that of a great show though but it does star the rather good Britt Robertson of Life Unexpected so I might give it a go.

I'm looking forward to watching it, but I wasn't a fan of that trailer. Hopefully it's good.
I think ITV2 are bidding for this series, I hope so having TVD and TSC together on ITV2 will be better. This series looks pretty impressive on first look.

The books are a hell of a lot more structured and interesting than TVD ones. But then TVD series barely follows its literary counterpart so I don't expect this to either. Regardless, it looks fantastic image and cast wise. Not sure about the content though. But then again TVD was very slow and dull at first and now I regard it as one of my favourite shows on television.

Artwork is stunning.

Trailer looked average but I enjoy TVD a lot so I will at least give this series a chance.

I agree. I liked the books for VD but the books made it so much focussed on Elena and Damon. The show isn't so much about them. Some could class The Vampire Diaries as an Ensemble show. I would say the show is slightly better then the books imo. The Vampire diaries has gotten better each season.

I know Kevin Williamson doesn't want this to be as gory and dark as TVD which may count against it, but I'm still really looking forward to watching this.

The pilot was OK but nothing amazing, I personally didn't enjoy it as much as the pilots of The Vampire Diaries or Ringer. Will stick with it for now though, see how it goes.

That Adam is pretty fit, and Cassi (Britt), but other than that I'd say TVD cast is much better looking too.

Sadly that won't be happening right now. Sky Living have got it, and it starts Wednesday 28th September at 8pm.

I really enjoyed the pilot, more so than Ringer (surprisingly). The act was weak in some places, but the storyline seems quite strong and the effects are quite decent too.

At the start I was certain a vampire was going to pop up and munch on her.

I thought the pilot for this show was better than the pilot for Vampire Diaries. I didn't get into VD fully until about the 3-4 episodes in....but with the secret circle I'm already intrigued.

I really enjoyed this. I'm really not keen on Thomas Dekker though :/

It was a better pilot than TVD. I felt that more happened and I was already more invested in the storyline. That said I still prefer TVD by far, but I shall be watching this for the near future anyway.

I have always loved Thomas Dekker. The only problem here is that they have tried to make him too Edward Cullen-esque.

Yes I also enjoyed the pilot, which isnt always the best episode to judge a series (VD anyone?). I'll definitely be checking this one out

I have always loved Thomas Dekker.

Isn't he beautiful?

Anyway good pilot although it kind of overdid the CW clichés - all of the beautiful teenagers hang out at a grill after school and all of the moms and dads are about 35. I mean her grandmother looked about 50 and of course all school principles are hot 35 year old women! I also thought they blew the secret of her being a witch *way* too early. That didn't need to happen for another couple of episodes, they could have toyed with her first and made her think she was going a bit mental. Also the token bitch one seems to do all of her acting with her eyebrows. This said it was a strong cast (the evil male witch from Queer As Folk was excellent and his scenes at the start at Cassie's house and at the end at the grill were both excellent and surprisingly brutal) and nicely shot and Britt is a likable lead actress so I'll stick with it.

Just watched the pilot.

Meh. Too many clichés. And Adam has the gayest face ever. No f***ing way he is straight.

Ha! :o
Just seen the pilot I'm pretty hooked, its actually pretty good, I can easily follow this each week
