As I posted above, 'Louder' is my summer anthem. Nothing else screams both "summer" and "excellent" in the same sentence. The new singles by The Wanted and JLS have a summer vibe about them. The main difference is 'Glad You Came' is ok but nothing spectucular, whilst 'She Makes Me Wonder' is crap and not even good enough for my top 40 this week. Let's assume then that JLS entered at no. 41 instead. :kink:

I also first heard of Maverick Sabre when he was a guest vocalist on 'Jungle' but I don't think I've heard any other tracks from him/ 'Let Me Go' seems to be his breakthrough single. It's good but again I wouldn't say it's incredible. Doubt it'll go much higher in my chart - I reckon #31 will be its peak.

Aww!!! ^_^ Out of interest, what was your entry? Andain will be entering my chart soon. It should appear in my pre-release chart next week and then most likely will get promoted to the main top 40 in a fortnights time. There are a few songs from BJSC XXXVI that are looking set for big things in my chart. It actually amazes just how much of an impact BJSC has been having on my chart. If I'd never bothered with BJSC, my chart would be renamed the Hitstastic Tumbleweed Top 40 for the sheer lack of good music I'm hearing outside of BJSC. The songs I am liking, I don't like anywhere near enough to chart high. In fact, my four highest new entries this week are all taken from Unknown Pleasures #6. So again with UP, that'd be even more of a tumbleweed chart with non movers a plenty. :lol: Ie; songs would sticking around for ages purely by default.

Who knows. :lol: Usually there's always one song every so often I hear and think "that's definitely going to no. 1 in my chart" - the last song to have that impact on me was..erm...'Louder' by DJ Fresh!!! :lol: Outside of BJSC, there is absolutely nothing I've heard that I can imagine going straight into my chart at #1. As for Beyonce, I really like 'BTINH' a lot and maybe it could take advantage of next week being a likely quiet week. I feel Ed Sheeran has peaked now but his decline is only small due to lack of competition. Of all the big new releases coming up over the next 6-8 weeks on the release schedule, none of them look likely to go to no. 1 in my chart.

It's definitely a grower despite some corny as lyrics. :lol: It's been a slow burner on iTunes gradually picking up sales with each passing day. I won't rule out top 10 for this track as it could quite easily happen.

It's not that bad but the only reason this hasn't done better in the UK is because of the usual trademarks which are essenial - promotion, music video, buzz/hype. This track has received nothing of the sort so it was always going to limp into the UK charts and fade away. 'Rope' by Foo Fighters suffered a similar fate - only difference being I thought 'Rope' was brilliant. Nothing groundbreaking, but nonetheless a great track.

Yes. :D Referring back to what I was saying re; 02. Because of the sheer lack of new music I really like, 'I Wanna Go' has ended up standing out. The video is tragic as anything but the song itself imo is brilliant pop music. The whole reason for holding this back until now is so that it can get a chart position to reflect how I much like this in comparison to what else is in the chart. Do I honestly think this will be no. 1 next week? No!!! :D I do see this going top 5 though.

Aww!!! ^_^ Out of interest, what was your entry? Andain will be entering my chart soon. It should appear in my pre-release chart next week and then most likely will get promoted to the main top 40 in a fortnights time. There are a few songs from BJSC XXXVI that are looking set for big things in my chart. It actually amazes just how much of an impact BJSC has been having on my chart. If I'd never bothered with BJSC, my chart would be renamed the Hitstastic Tumbleweed Top 40 for the sheer lack of good music I'm hearing outside of BJSC. The songs I am liking, I don't like anywhere near enough to chart high. In fact, my four highest new entries this week are all taken from Unknown Pleasures #6. So again with UP, that'd be even more of a tumbleweed chart with non movers a plenty. :lol: Ie; songs would sticking around for ages purely by default.

Next month, next month... B) I haven't registered yet. I could do now, but I think I'll do it on my 6-month anniversary and set up the national thread then (I'm already pretty sure on my country name). Simply listening, and picking tracks I like.

I may have found a good entry for next month actually, but that would be telling. ;)

Oh right, I misunderstood "next month" as in you DNQ this month. :lol: I've not even started thinking about what I'll send next month. I'll wait until the next confirmation thread opens and only then I'll start looking for something.

The reason for the "tumbleweed" comment is purely because I don't allow myself to just chart anything and everything. I've always had sort of order to the compiling of my chart. Any tracks in the UK top 40, all new releases confirmed for that week, any tracks charting thanks to cherry pickings off an album and finally any tracks from Europe that enter the HIT30 qualify for my chart. The problem is that I'm not inspired by that many tracks in the UK charts of late. BJSC and Unknown Pleasures have provided me with great discoveries that have made a big impact on my chart. Here's what my chart would look like this week without the BJSC/UP influence:
