Impressive for 'Pumped Up Kicks'. It had a good run in my chart despite peaking at no. 14 but as you know this is a track we discovered in Unknown Pleasures back in March. I'm glad to see the song doing well now, but for me it's had its time in the chart. I'm actually surprised you never charted this earlier in the year off the back of UP#5.

 

02 (02) Medina – Gutter [3wks] (3-2-2)

 

Let's see where Medina finishes in tomorrow nights BJSC XXXVI final. I'm sure you'll be disappointed to know that I don't see this doing well at all. I've predicted bottom 5 for this. :(

 

03 (03) Ed Sheeran – The A Team [8wks] (1-1-1-2-2-2-3-3)

 

Still going strong and having heard his new single 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' I must admit I prefer 'The A Team' in comparison. However, it's one of the better new releases coming up in the next two months.

 

05 (11) Lana Del Rey – Video Games [3wks] (16-11-5)

 

You must be gutted that Grego beat you to entering this into BJSC. This is gorgeous and it's been one of my biggest discoveries in the contest. I also predict 'Video Games' will win BJSC tomorrow night. So even more gutting that a song you could've entered, and possibly winning, means once again Kylienips just haven't had what it takes to win the contest. :(

 

14 (04) Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie [2wks] (4-14)

 

Wow, I must've missed your chart last week. Didn't realise this had entered so high up. For me, it pales in comparison to some of their previous hits - and I've liked a lot of Chili Peppers singles. Just a shame that those words "Chili Pepper" will forever haunt you. :lol:

My favourite track from the last BJSC and still riding high in my chart - possibly looking set for a new peak but we shall see when I actually get round to compiling my new chart. :D

 

18 (**) Cocknbullkid - Yellow [1wk] (18)

 

Cocknbildkid have sort of gone under the radar for me. Thanks to BJSC, 'Yellow' has been brought to my attention and without giving away all my votes, let's just say this was my favourite track from SF2. ;)

 

19 (27) Chart Music – All My Life [3wks] (35-27-19)

 

My second fave track from BJSC XXXV and up until last week had peaked at #6 - whether the track will improve on this position is left to be seen.

 

20 (15) Example – Changed The Way You Kissed Me [16wks] (13-3-3-7-7-10-15-10-8-3-5-5-7-10-15-20)

 

You must be kicking yourself for not putting this at no. 1 - I remember the week when 'Bounce' climbed 11-01 in your chart and, well...I was AGOG. :lol: 'Bounce' is so limp and lifeless compared to this Euphoric slice of glory that it's a shame to think this stalled at no. 3 (on three different chart weeks too :drama: ) yet Calvin Harris' no. 1 in your chart had now left the top 40. 'Bounce' spent two weeks in my top 40 - it's far from his best song.

 

24 (28) Nero – Promises [4wks] (37-34-28-24)

 

This has been quite the grower. I thought 'Me & You' was excellent and was disappointed when it stalled at no. 15 upon its release. I was shocked when 'Guilt' got to no. 8 as, imo, it's not as strong a single. So step forward 'Promises' and we have a song that I didn't know if I liked it or not when I first heard it. Since the music video premiered, it's grown on me a lot. Could very well the UK #1 next week which would be an incredible achievement for Nero (third single getting to no. 1 outpeaking its previous two singles).

 

40 (**) Andain – Promises [1wk] (40)

 

:wub: I'm really happy to see Andain has manage to make a good impact on you. and ultimately your chart. It's a track discovered via my interest of other countries charts. 'Promises' charting in - of all countries - Lithuania at the moment. I listened to the track on YouTube and I love the lush electronic elements over what I describe as a chill out dance track. I go also like the remix of the track which is more catered to the pop lovers, and those who like uptempo dance music. So yes, the best of both worlds. I'd love to at least get my 4th top 10 placing in the BJSC final, but it's all left to be seen how the results unfold.

Oh Luke!!! :D You won't be aware but Andain 'Promises' is the track I've entered into BJSC. The results are tomorrow night and I'm aiming for a top 10 finish. It's nice to see someone else liking this track too. ^_^

 

When Foster The People was used in UP, I didn't vote for it, as at the time I didn't like it :lol: after the competition ended the track just grew on me, it just took awhile for me to jump on the bandwagon so to speak.

 

I came close once winning the BJSC contest, coming third with One by Sky Ferriera, my time will come, and I've already got a corker of a track for the next competition. I did think I shot myself in the foot by not entering Lana De Rey in the end, I just was two minds over it.

 

Chili Pepper will haunt me as long as I live :lol:

Huge jump for The Cults this week & large drop for RHCP. We seem to be the only ones who like that song!

Ritual Union is a great song. The Givers Up Up Up is pretty good too, not sure if it'll make my chart though.

I hadn't heard Andain's Promises before, a good track.

Cults's album is pretty impressive actually, Go Outside is another great track from them.

Pumped Up Kicks is just simply the best single of the year for me after a bumpy start, it makes a great summer tune.

I only discovered Cults quite recently I wasn't aware Go Outside was released in March. I heard the soundtrack to it been used on an advert and I got hooked on it. Abducted seems better of the two tracks though.

I've heard quite a few tracks from the CocknBullKid album already, its on my wish list to purchase at some point.
