Was just looking on Twitter and saw a few interesting comments after the Westlife special. Here are just some of them, horrifying stuff really...

"I used to drag my mother to Westlife concerts until Mark came out as gay."

"I remember scott used to say he was like Mark from westlife then he found out he was gay and denied he ever said it hahahah"

"Didn't even realise mark from westlife was gay! I'm such a muppet!...i always quite liked him too! :L"

"why did Mark (westlife) have to be gay? Why?!"

"I use to love Mark from westlife and when I found out he was gay I cried hahaha"

I don't think some young girls have the capacity to take a thing like the popstar they fancy being gay on board tbh, which is often why gay artists sell better to older audiences. Will Young and to bring it back on topic Joe being examples of that.

The first two are a bit iffy but I'd say that the others are no different to me saying something like 'damn why can't Olly Murs be gay? :(' or something :P

I believe that 28,000 + of Classic Christmas were sold. Don't know about Classic though.

Yeah 28149 for CC. Will check with Vidcapper but I reckon judging by the sales around it, it will be at least another 7k for Classic taking it to around 225k :)

Looks like there was no need to worry about selling that 100k that were shipped either. He should easily pass 100k now. He has some decent promo this week at last.

Yeah, Classic is around 225k, and Classic Christmas sold around 86k by now. Should hit 100k next week :)

It's about 10,000 down on where Classic was after 3 weeks. But I suppose in theory they could continue to sell it after Christmas just to see if it kept up the same level of sales - one might assume it would not sell any at all after Christmas but maybe the public don't think like that. It would look odd for it to go from 25,000 to zero the next week.

I'm surprised none of Joe McElderry's fans have commented on his new single from the album, out this week: the papers, Joe and his fans were all full of it before.

Joe isn't really a singles person though.

When I first read this without reading above I thought you meant he liked to be in a relationship :) Doh!

You're right though. Won't affect him one way or another how the remix does. It's been available to download for weeks not sure why. A bit odd when the official release date was 19th.

Classic Christmas looks likely to sell a combined total of around 120,000 which is extremely decent for a christmas album. I never thought I would see the day when Joe would be starting work on a fourth album, no other X Factor act has manged that to date.

Apparently they are already in discussion about the fourth album for next year - and also another tour after the roaring success of the Classic tour. I hope he comes to Portsmouth or Southampton!

Did you not see him on this tour? If not you missed an absolute treat :) Yeah Joe has mentioned a 4th album next year on numerous interviews. Good to hear.

What kind of album will it be, does anyone know yet. Will it be classical or pop or a mixture?

All he's said so far is that it will be a mixture of some new material (He wants to try writing he says) and some "standards". Given how successful Classic has been for him I doubt he will move away from the "classics" completely but we'll see. Think a mixture is best. Keep his fanbase and gain some new hopefully.

Yes I did see him on tour at the Festival Hall! I was lucky enough to be offered two tickets and accommodation! We had a brilliant seat right in his eyeline. It was a superb concert from an extremely talented young man. As can be witnessed by the fact that Sir Tim Rice who was in the audience was on his feet applauding vigourously!

The next day we went to the Leonard Da Vinci exhibition at the National Gallery, so a good weekend in all!

Fantastic night. Hope he can get to some different place on the next one. The southwest seems to get a bit neglected.

Anything from Brighton westwards is neglected! Portsmouth, Southampton, Bournemouth, Bristol, Exeter etc etc. Oxford would be good too.

LOL Sorry can't stop thinkng about his singing I guess :) He believes the misconception he has more support there than elsewhere. Not the case. The local papers are very supportive is true but I don't think he has more fans there than other parts of the country. He always gets tons of messages asking for signings in the South. Looking forward to the 02 next week. Good opportunity for him. Think the audience for the Nutcracker will be the type to be impressed with him.

As you know the support at the Festival Hall was astounding. One of the men at Morrisons heard my car radio as I parked - Joe singing I Believe In Father Christmas - and said that thousands and thousands of copies of Classic Christmas had been sold in their store in Newport, Isle of Wight!

So, Joe, please come down south for your many, many fans.
