I think what they mean is, Olly said he would strip IF he got to #1 - he did get to #1, so he fulfilled what he said he would do

 

In someways thats worse, as I'm sure he would have got a few more extra copies sold from his fans to see this, which he may not have got otherwise

Most of his performances were boring though, having dancers doesn't mean you have less talent than someone who just stands still for a whole song.

Unique talent? Not really, he is talented, I'll give you that, but he isn't unique or original.

Olly only stripped AFTER he got to #1 :P and I for one was very happy to see that, the hottie that he is.

Joe already proved his talent on X Factor, and it is pretty impressive he was able to sing that song live. It is not an easy song to sing and he had to move around. Well done.

 

Anyway, that is why he left Syco, and moved to Universal. Syco really has been crap and to their other artists (Leona being one and upsetting).

Joe McElderry is boring, so what if he can sings he's just... boring. Singing doesn't always get you anywhere if you're complete boring as hell. Leona is another example who is boring but relied on a big hit in order to be worldwide known. I do however give Joe props for actually reviving his career after his debut disaster.
