Posted July 31, 200618 yr Wembley Stadium to miss completion deadline Source: MW Wembley National Stadium Limited expects building firm Multiplex to miss its revised deadline of Septemebr 2006 for completing the £757m venue. WNSL chief executive Michael Cunnah says he doubts Multiplex will complete the stadium on time, but does expect it to be finished this year. "At the current rate of progress, particularly in light of the extensive testing and commissioning regime that will be required, this is not likely to be achieved until later in the year,†he says. However, WNSL has also refused to guarantee the venue would be ready to host the 2007 FA Cup Final next May. ======================================= yet again
August 1, 200618 yr I BET it isn't ready for the FA Cup Final  ...And you'd win that bet... Just heard on the news this morning that Multiplex are claiming that they wont be able to carry out safety tests until the end of May 2007, which means indeed it will not be ready for the FA cup 2007..... You would think after this absolute fukkin' disaster that there would be no way in hell Multiplex would be given any more big Civil contracts in which they could c**k-up..... ...But you'd be wrong..... <_<
August 1, 200618 yr Well all I can say it be 10 times better than the $h!thole it was when it's FINALLY done. -_-
August 1, 200618 yr Well all I can say it be 10 times better than the $h!thole it was when it's FINALLY done. -_- Whether it is or isnt is really pretty irrelevant, it's embarrassing that we in this country seem to be totally incapable of getting something finished on time. We were all ready to have a laugh at the Greeks when they were having problems getting things sorted out with their stadium for the Olympics. All I can say is that after this total and utter shambles with the national stadium, Britain has absolutely no right to criticise anyone ever again.....

It's a good job Seb Coe has got the building constructers to start two & half years ahead of schedule, because at this rate they might just get things completed the evening before the start of the 2012 Olympics in London. :P
August 2, 200618 yr What makes it more intresting is that the FA(or who ever it is) are not planning to book Cardif's Mellinum Stadium, which could backfire on them spectacularly. Who wants to book the Mellinum statdium on the day of the FA cup final :D *evil laugh*
