21 - Wow! CMWYS just missed out on my end of year chart sadly. I much preferred the following single, Lithium - that came 27th in my EOY chart of 2007.

51 - Ahh yes, I remember quite liking some aspects of that song!

53 - If they do release a new single it'll be 99.9% certain to be a #1 on my chart. The forthcoming Ultimate Collection is going to be my album of the week for the best part of a year probably :kink:

21. I did love that too, but it peaked at a comparatively lowly #15 in my weekly chart iirc...

51. It's quite well respected on here despite it only coming 10th. It got huge points from people who never usually give me anything and wish that I'd send more songs like it!

53. I'm sure  I'm very much looking forward to seeing what they come up with anyway - pretty much all of the big pop comebacks have thrown up a #1 single on my chart - All Saints, Boyzone, Take That, A1, Scooch (:kink:) etc...only Spice Girls didn't but Headlines was hardly anything to get excited about...

51 - It's always good to keep the indie crowd happy once in a while :kink:

53 - Me too, although I'm not holding out much hope for new material as I don't want to be disappointed when the only "new" track is the single version of Baby Don't Dance  . I got the new A1 album a few weeks ago actually, but haven't got round to listening yet! Headlines was a shockingly bad comeback, so bad I didn't even recognise it in your NMTBJs edition

Crazy that your Top 6 all had a legimate shot at #1 this week. Looks like the best man won this week, who's been winning your chart for quite some time now.

I hope the Guetta/Sia song is properly released. It has the potential to be a huge hit, considering it's reception last week on iTunes worldwide.

Great to see Midnight City enter on your chart. Seems everyone is jumping on the saxophone bangwagon. Glad Katy was ahead of the game

Great chart as always!

53. Indeed, it could well be a Spice Girls affair with one new song max and maybe an old hidden track from a vault somewhere. Oh, have a listen, it's a really strong album in parts  Indeed, it did actually get into my top ten for one week, based on Melanie C's verse alone to be honest, but looking back it was pretty poor for a comeback. Surprised it did THAT badly in NMTBJ's though - a fairly recent single by the biggest girlband of all time and only 3 people could place it

Thanks West, indeed it was an incredibly close race to the top, it took me ages to decide on a #1!

Agreed with you about Titanium, it really is brilliant and he's missing an opportunity if he doesn't push it out there as a single.

I really like Midnight City! I know what you mean there, the sax on Last Friday Night seemed a bit random this time last year but suddenly it all makes perfect sense

Hello GD,

Great chart as ever. I'm not sure about Ed Sheeran's new one, it'll probably grow on me though. Good to see Collide, Moves Like Jagger and Jar Of Hearts high up for you.

Great chart as always

51. What perplexed me is that it wasn't even remotely indie. It was dance/rap from Northern Sweden  Yet the indie fans were the ones that 'got it' for the most part, the pop fans weren't interested!

51 - That's true  . I suppose her voice is a bit twee sounding, but I can't see why it wouldn't appeal to both pop and indie fans alike.

53 - Maybe! I'd like to hear an unreleased track from way back when though! Melanie C's verse is the only redeeming feature of that track! It really showed how strong a vocalist she is  . I think I didn't recognise it because (with a lot of effort) I'd totally erased it from memory :kink:

51. It's appeal was a bit odd. I still listen to it a lot though, certainly one of my more enduring entries on my own personal taste.

53. I expect you would :P Definitely, she really brings a strong vocal to any old crap she's involved with - and she's been involved in some AWFUL songs in her time!
