London duo Alpines release their first single proper "Cocoon" on 22nd (though it's available to download already off iTunes), I am liking this quite a bit on first listen. It sounds quite commercial really and I can imagine with a bit of beefier production it could sit on Radio 1 quite happily next to say La Roux or Florence..

 

I quite like the track on first listen, I charted Drive in my personal chart earlier in the year from them.

I am absolutely LOVING their new single "Gold". It's just grown and grown on me.

This sounds very good although you cannot listen to this without hearing Florence but it's not that bad thing after all..
