What A Feeling so low?! I guess it is a bit generic and dull at times but I luff it. Dilemma rightfully Top 5. My favourites still to come too. HAPPY.

#03 - 'COMMANDER' (feat. David Guetta) - 8.370

UK: #9

you know I need some room,

to do what I do, I'm 'bout to act a fool (turn the lights on)

Opening up the top three, is the ANTHEM that is 'Commander'. Released last summer, it became a bit of a slow burner, before being a fairly decent-sized hit, selling close to 300,000 copies. It was pretty much my song of the year, as evident by it spending nine weeks atop my personal chart, and it still doesn't disappoint when I play it. I'm pleased it managed to garner so much love on this rate (as I always thought it was more love/hate than love/love/hate), so for it to finish third is great. Anthemic dance music produced by David Guetta was pretty much the norm last summer, but this felt so much better than everything else for me, and it's evident that it inspired future songs *cough* 'Only Girl (in the World)'. I would LOVE another song like this on the UK version of Here I Am, but the one we got on the US version doesn't seem half as good ('Down for Whatever').

Commander is fucking overrated. A really pitiful attempt to capitalise on the popularity of 'dance Kelly' after When Love Takes Over with none of that song's warmth. Yeah it's good enough in a club but not something I ever choose to play.

Ugh, I really feel like I was way too generous with my 6 for Dilemma, it's more of a 3/4.

As for Commander, it is by far my favourite Kelly song. Even after something well over 100 plays it remains as fabulous as first listen.

Love Commander, definitely in my top 3 Kelly tracks so good finishing! Stole ftw, but it will be WLTO.

WLTO has been and gone already.

I would be surprised if it wasn't a 'Work' win.

It's time to reveal which song has won! 'Stole' vs. 'Work'...!

There was a runaway winner, with the song finishing second only getting there by the skin of its teeth...

#02 - 'STOLE' - 8.652

UK: #2

Mary's got the same size hands as Marilyn Monroe,

she put her fingers in the imprints at Mann's Chinese theatre show

Just missing out on pole position, it's the most emotional song of Kelly's career, and that is 'Stole'. The song follows the stories of three young people who are affected by suicide and a shooting in a school. The music video and message of the song are incredibly moving, which is one of the reasons why I still enjoy and remember it. Many of Buzzjack seem to also hold a place in their heart for it, with it achieving only three rates under 8, but even without them, it would have still placed second in this rate.

I've not much else to say about this, so we'll more on to our winner...

#01 - 'WORK [FREEMASONS REMIX]' - 9.500

UK: #4

it's your chance to prove, don't forget your moves,

there's nothing to lose, but me

Finishing in first place is 'Work', Kelly's most successful completely solo single, and the second to be taken from Ms. Kelly. The song is another song full of sexual innuendo, and could be seen as the predecessor to 'Motivation'. It's an absolute stomper of a track, full of Kelly's usual hooks and high-NRG, which pretty much cements it as a Buzzjack favourite. It managed to receive consistent rates across the board, including the most elevens achieved by any song (8). This definitely changed the direction of Kelly's musical career, which will have inspired 'When Love Takes Over', as well as 'Commander' and 'What A Feeling', and it's more than worthy of winning!

Thank you all for rating and commenting throughout this thread, and being patient in waiting for the results. I really hope you enjoyed it, and feel free to continue the discussion on your favourite Kelly single in here!

Oh VERY good Top 2 and the better song was #1 too. Pleasing results.

I meant Work  Same letter, I just had it in my head to put the abbreviation of When Love Takes Over instead :drama:

Anyway, I find Work overrated, I did give it a 9.5 but it's still overrated, if that makes sense? Stole is MUCH better!

Personally I find Stole overrated and rather watery. She certainly has songs more emotional than that (Love for one).

Work (Freemasons) is brilliant but even so I'm always surprised by how well it's held up in peoples' affections.

Why was 'Work' not HUGE in the USA? It's better then anything any other Destiny's Child member has ever released, IMO.

Because dance-pop is only really coming around to the US now, whereas in 2008 it was dead in the water? :P
I hate 'Dilemma' so much, it's totally cringeworthy and use of the word "boo" is a HUGE no no. 'Commander' I do adore but I've overplayed it a bit too much (or hearing it out a bit too much could be a contributing factor too), 'Stole' is and always has been overrated as hell, 'Work' is good (although not the original album version :puke:) although not her best and I wouldn't say a deserving winner, but it could've been worse.

'Work' is more urban/dance/pop. I think if it would have been better marketed it could have been huge for her.
